Questions & Answers
Yes, it was compatible with the 2019 Colorado short bed.
I haven't tried it, but I'm sure you could if you figure out how to keep the rolled-up part rolled-up.
Because the top rolls up to the top of the bed, the cargo can be pushed to the top of the bed as long as it is rolled tight. I recently assisted a friend in moving an entertainment cabinet, and we were able to get it to the top of the bed in seconds with the top rolled up. The top rails are held in place by clamps that can easily be removed with a wrench, so that shouldn't be a problem. It takes approximately ten minutes to complete the installation. Removing should take about the same amount of time as putting it on.
Ok so far

Maxmate will send you a tonneau with the Tiger logo on it. It has a 1"x2" blue Tiger logo on the drivers side near the tailgate, which I was hoping would not be present as shown. The bed cover only comes with four clamps, not the six that the description claims. I assume this is due to the fact that this is a 5' cover rather than a 6' cover, but the description does state that you will receive 6 clamps. It also excludes the LED bed light, which the description claims is included. It also doesn't include any of the weather stripping required for the Colorado (which isn't mentioned in the description but is a well-known requirement as evidenced by other reviews). It comes with a packing checklist, so I know they left those items out on purpose. Nonetheless, for the price, it's a great cover that's simple to put together. I've compared this tonneau to others from well-known brands. ups (in person) and discovered that they are almost identical in construction, save for the style clamps used. So you're basically getting the same cover for half the price. It doesn't get any better than that! If it included all of the accessories listed in the description, it would be a five-star item. Still, it's a fantastic purchase that I would strongly recommend.
The cover is secure, attractive, and does a good job of keeping the elements out! The best part is that I could get three of these for less than the cost of a factory Mopar cover!.
I've bought a lot of bed covers before, but this one is the best! It fits perfectly on my 2018 Chevy Colorado 5' bed. Guys, don't be hesitant to purchase it.
My 2018 Chevy Colorado loves the bed cover! It's exactly what I was looking for! To improve the seal on the front of the bed, use the included weather stripping. It has been raining, but there is no evidence of water leaking into the bed. My truck has also been driven at speeds exceeding 80 mph and has proven to be reliable. The first time I drove my truck with it on it, I was afraid it would come off, but it didn't.
I've only had it for a few days, but here are some of my initial thoughts: SETUP: br>br> Unpacking and setting up took me less than ten minutes. It was simple to follow the instructions. WATERPROOF: br>br> One of my main concerns was how well it would keep items dry. It rained nonstop for several hours overnight just last night. The bed was as dry as a desert when I woke up in the morning. br>br>NOISE: I drove at 80 mph on the interstate and didn't hear a thing. br>br>Overall, I'm very pleased with the product!br>br>Almost forgot. On a 2018 GMC Canyon, Crew Cab, Short Bed, this product was installed.
This lady managed to complete the task entirely on her own. I had my heart set on a triathlon. When my son showed me his soft roll-up, I thought it was a good idea to fold the hardtop. I knew that was exactly what I needed when I woke up. He pointed out how much space is lost when you fold it up and how much space is gained when you stand it up. You can't see anything because you can't see anything because you can't see I couldn't give up the valuable space or the ability to see what I was transporting on a short-bed. br>br>I sat for less than two minutes to read the installation manual for this soft roll-up door. In 32 minutes, I was able to install it on my own. Note tho. You must install it all the way to the cab on my ZR2, and you will require the additional seal because there is a recessed area on the bulkhead that you must seal with it. But it's not a problem. If I had to do it all over again, I would. I'd make the front seal a little thicker. It is possible that it will not leak, but it has not yet rained. In addition, instead of using the more convenient adjustable wrench, I would have gone out to the shed and found my 10mm ratchet. br>br>I'm blown away, and I'm a stickler for details. I did it, so you guys should be able to do it in no time. So don't bother asking me stupid questions; if you can't figure it out, your wife might be able to. Lol. Simply get it now. I spent the remaining $800 I had saved on something nice for myself, and the time I had saved on relaxing with a refreshing beverage and admiring my new truck. 😉.
The middle bar creates a visible bulge in the cover, which irritates me aesthetically, but it serves its purpose perfectly well. I've noticed a 1mpg improvement over open bed.
Because I believe box caps are standard on all 2017 Colorado models, I recommend getting some neoprene stripping for the front of the box, as this cover sits on top of the box caps. br>br> I gave it three stars rather than four or five because the weather stripping on the tonneau cover where it closes over the tailgate isn't long enough to keep dust out of the truck bed when traveling on gravel roads. I was able to resolve this problem by applying duct tape to one side of the weather stripping, ensuring that something extends all the way to the top of the tailgate when it is closed. (I basically looked at how the tonneau cover on my half-ton Silverado keeps dust, water, and other things out and noticed that instead of a strip of D-rings, it has a strip of D-rings. ) It has about a 2 inch piece of vinyl from the cover that comes down to contact the tailgate when channel weather stripping is used. ) I tried adding a thicker neoprene strip at first, but it came off after closing the tailgate twice; the duct tape fix has held for several weeks and appears to be good for at least a few months.
