Questions & Answers

What is the number of people who sleep in this bed?

I'm 5'11" and 210 pounds, and I'd say three people would be a squeeze, but two people would have plenty of space. If it's skinny peeps, maybe four.

Is there a stargazing window on the roof?

There isn't a single window on the roof. Only the side windows and the entryway are visible.

From the ground to the bottom of the tent, what is the maximum height of the annex you can get?

It measures approximately 7' in length. My tent is perched atop a cargo trailer, and the annex is a little cramped.

Is there a floor in the annex?

No, I ended up purchasing a large tarp, which I lay out and park the entire rig on when I arrive at a location where I want to set up camp. It's even better if it rains and the ground becomes muddy. It can be swept off once it has dried.

Although the tent is good, it is not without flaws
4/5

This was purchased as a cross-stitch project. This year, we're going on a camping trip in the country. So far, I've only used it once; I'll return to update you. My first impressions are as follows: br>br>
1. When it comes to installation, the instructions aren't very clear. I had some issues with the travel cover. The cover comes with no instructions.
2. The rain cover hooks are not spring steel, so they can easily bend. When it comes to setting up, you must be cautious.
3. When the holes for the mounting rails were drilled in the base, there was swarf left over from the manufacturing process. Cleaning up after manufacturing does not add value, but it does improve the customer's perception of your commitment to quality.
4. It's very simple to set up.
5. Zippers on travel covers can get caught in the fabric of the tent. To get the zip unstuck, I had to take off my travel cover. It was extremely aggravating, but it was possible that it was due to self-inflicted injury. induced.
6. The sleeping pad has a good amount of firmness to it. To soften up the stiff cover, I'll be adding another mattress.
7. The room is very well ventilated. The cross breeze is amazing when all of the doors are open.
8. Depending on your rack system, you'll need moderate skill to set up this tent properly. Because I have a rack made from extruded aluminum channel, I will be experimenting with alternate mounting.
9. This tent may not be suitable for older people. I'm still trying to figure out how to put the travel cover on properly. To secure the zips and straps properly, you must crawl on top of the vehicle. br>br>Electrical and mechanical engineering are my areas of expertise. I make a living designing and building machines, so I appreciate well-organized products and can spot flaws quickly. br>br>Overall execution is not up to ARB's standards, and I'm starting to wonder if this product is a knockoff because it doesn't appear to be of the same high quality as other ARB products I've used in the past.

RTT is excellent, but Annex is a bit lacking
4/5

First and foremost, I'd like to state that this is my first time using a roof top tent. This tent is very well made. The fabric appears to be of excellent quality. The base and mounting hardware were made of high-quality materials as well. I discovered that all of the holes were perfectly aligned. The tent will not be snagged by burs. In my opinion, it is an excellent tent. For the setup for use (after initial mounting), slightly better instructions would have been nice. For example, the recommended tent height and a description of the rain fly's support bars. The instructions for mounting were adequate, explaining the recommended width of support bars and how to mount the tracks for the first time; however, it was a hassle to figure out for the first time. If it hadn't been for the annex, I would have given this tent setup a five-star rating. It was supposed to have a floor in it, but it didn't. Partly due to the fact that the above-mentioned question was answered in the affirmative. However, it does not appear to have a floor anywhere I look. I've contacted both the seller and ARB about the situation, hoping to get some answers. I had hoped for a floor for the price. I can't really complain because the seller or ARB never stated that there would be a floor. Overall, the quality is excellent; however, I wish ARB and Amazon provided a more detailed description of the product and more images. I'll post some pictures later, but I wanted to give it a more thorough review because there aren't many on this tent compared to other brands.

Great Tent for a Low Budget
5/5

I'm 5'8" and my husband is 6'4", and we both fit perfectly in this tent for the price. Because the annex has no floor, our children (12 and 9) slept in a two-person tent in the annex. On a couple of nights when it was particularly windy and cold, we crammed up top. Because of the wind, we had to take the annex down that night. The tent took about 5 minutes to set up with the windows open and poles in place, and the tent and annex took about 8 minutes in total. It takes about ten minutes to take it down, but once you get the hang of it, it's very simple. I really like how the tent cover zips up and the straps help keep it in place. Many tents do not have a zip-in feature and instead rely on buckles. When it was folded up, we also had two sleeping backs and two pillows up top. I couldn't think of anything else to add, but that was ideal and saved space in the Jeep. This budget-friendly tent comes highly recommended by me.
