I don't have an exact measurement, but I used it to seal the tailgates of a Yamaha Rhino UTV and a Toyota Tacoma pickup, and it worked great.
This seal is roughly 3/4 inch thick at its thickest point.
I'm not sure about that, but I do know it doesn't work on a 2017 Chevy Colorado. I had it for about a week and it had become squished between the tailgate and the bed. Perhaps only for larger vehicles.
There will be instructions included in the package. You'll apply the seal to the truck bed's vertical and horizontal edges.

The product itself is excellent, as is the adhesion performance. The problem with this product is the DIY installer's ability. We ordered it because it said "universal fitment," which I assumed meant it would fit any truck. The adhesive did not adhere tightly, and it became unsticky as soon as it became warm (and I mean very warm). When the tailgate was opened, the entire bottom piece was yanked off, with half stuck to the tailgate and the other half stuck to the truck's bed. We had to remove the entire seal as a result. For Ram trucks, I would not recommend this item.

I went to the car wash a few days later and washed my truck. THERE WAS NO WATER IN THE TRUCK BED! The seals are fantastic!.
