Will this work to keep the dust out of a 2021 Colorado tailgate?

I'm not sure because I used it on a full-size Z71. However, since you'll have to trim it down to fit, it should be fine. That being said, this product does a great job with dust, but some water will get in, but not a lot of it. Because toneu covers do not provide a perfect seal, some air will leak in, especially when driving on the highway. My results have blown me away. Don't forget to get the paint ready!

Is this compatible with a Silverado 2500HD from the year 2021?

It will, in my opinion. Because the instructions that come with it are model specific, you must specify your pickup model when placing your order. My GMC Sierra 1500 has the same bed and tailgate configuration as your Silverado.

For about a week, it was fantastic

For the first week, I did a good job. When I got home today, I opened the tailgate to unload my tools and noticed the seals on both ends of the bed were peeling off, and the large seal was being damaged by the tailgate closing. Yes, I did use the alcohol wipes before putting it in place.

The outer edges of our multipro tailgate were sealed with this. It certainly aids in keeping dust at bay. We also needed to use a different type of seal to seal the rest of the tailgate.
