Before pressing the side pieces into place, I butted them up against the front strip. The rubber remains firmly in place.
One side is sticky, while the other is not.
It's designed to keep a topper in place on the bed. A tailgate can be sealed with a seal. You'll have to do some research to find out what they are.

I purchased this item in the hopes of improving my current situation. The product is pleasant to the touch and appears to be of good quality, but it does not adhere to the surface. I tried cleaning the surface with the alcohol wipes that came with it, but it just wouldn't stick. Because I needed to use my vehicle for an upcoming trip, I went ahead and installed it. When I remove the pickup topper, I expect it to fall off.
After 14 years, I needed to remove my truck cap for service because the original tape used by the installer had worn away at the back, allowing the cap to wear paint away from the rails. This resulted in rust, which I had to remove and repair with a grinder. br>If the installer had used a high-quality product like this one from Extruded Solutions, none of this would have happened. This seal, which is thicker than the previous one, will not be moving.
It was used to put together a camper shell.
It's extremely sticky, and it's easy to set up.
This product has exceeded my expectations.
We installed it, but it had to be used in conjunction with another foam-based product. Our truck is lined with the spray-on material that was applied to the top of the bed rail, making it uneven and difficult to seal.
