Okay, so this arrived at my front door in a large box, which made me happy because it was well protected. Now, let me tell you how inhumanly difficult it is to install with just one person; I was on the verge of throwing my entire tailgate away. But it's simple if you have a second person and good communication. It looks great and comes with sticky double-sided tape, so all you need is patience to put it together. I like it and would buy it again if I had to throw out the entire tailgate because the latch keeps breaking. I gave it four stars because I was frustrated by how difficult it was to install with just one person, but the product itself is of excellent quality and deserves a five-star rating. I'll upload a photo as soon as I remember.
When I put them on, they bleed black streaks down the sides and back of my truck every time they get wet. I contacted Bushwacker and sent them photos, and their best recommendation was to wash the truck. This is a new paint job, and the streaks have been wiping away with soap and water so far, but I'll be replacing them as soon as I can find a good replacement. Bushwacker customer service is terrible; they simply transfer me to hold and then disconnect.
This is a far superior option to the Wade 72-inch model, which is significantly less expensive. 1191 br>In comparison to the Wade unit, the Bushwacker has more adhesive tape and is made of a thicker gauge material. My Extang 44540 Trifecta Tonneau Cover seals better with the Bushwacker because it sits higher on the tailgate. br>br>Dragging a piece of equipment off my truck, I ripped this one up. Because these were out of stock on Amazon, I ordered the Wade unit. The Wade unit was working its way off the top of the tailgate today, according to my observations. The Wade comes with very little tape, as other reviewers have noted in their comments.
Very snug fit, and it looks great with the bed rail caps. I'm not sure why they aren't sold as a kit.
That is precisely what I was looking for. You have an excellent appearance. It was a perfect fit. Installing it was a breeze.
My tailgate protector was bent like a boomerang, so the package was a poor choice. A tube should be used to package the product.
