The Pop & Lock 3600 How to Install it?

I didn't have any trouble. To use the lock, I just followed the instructions on the box. After slipping the lock behind the handle, it took me a while to open the tailgate. It probably took about ten minutes to complete the I really like how this works.

Can you tell me why the plastic handle on the tailgate pops open when I pull hard enough on it? Is something not right here?

Since the lock was installed in two years ago, I have never had a problem opening it or closing it.

Is this part compatible with the Dodge Dakota 2005? It appears that Amazon will ship the order, but I just want to be If you have any information, please let me know. ?

I am not sure, but I realize that this pop &amp rock music is extremely popular Under the handle on the right side of the picture is a mechanism called a lock. Unlike the bezel on other watches, this one has a pull handle that fits over the retaining ring. There is no doubt Amazon has a good return policy, and generally when they say they fit your vehicle, they do. Amazon will ask you for as many details about your vehicle as possible. Fill that out Probably 20 minutes was all it took me to install this lock. Hope you have a great day!

Do you have an idea if this will fit a 2002 Dodge Dakota? The second generation is on the left. ?

In fact, it does fit. '97 Gen 2 was the only machine where I installed it.

It just needs to be improved upon in terms of the design
4/5

Using a tailgate lock is important to me because I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4. When a wrong model is received, Pop & Pep will accept returns or exchanges On my second attempt (direct from seller) after failing on my first two attempts, I decided to give it one more shot. It was a simple process to install the correct part that I received. This has been a pleasant experience with the installation and I used the security bolt as described. After that, I tried opening the tailgate but was unable to do so. There would only be a left-side movement of the handle, not a right side movement. The tailgate opened when I back off the torque on the security bolt (which was a pain to do). I decided to replace the old security bolt with a shorter one that I purchased from Home Depot rather than try to remove it again. However, the problem still persists. With my Dremel in hand, I began to shave the "lip" on the lock side. After a couple of shaving sessions, I was finally able to get the tailgate release secured nicely when it is locked and moves freely when it is.

It is easy to install, if you read the The Dakota is very well equipped, but a little expensive, but we are happy to see "Manufactured in Canada"

This is true offshore junk, but it is well-built and it does the job. I've seen some reviews on other systems that said it was not easy to Five minutes seemed like a long time, but in reality, it was only about ten. I have no doubt that it helped loosen the other screws that were mentioned in the instructions, but it just required turning in a certain direction until it went in. There were also reviews in which it said you could force the door open by pulling on the handle hard enough, but that was not possible for me to do. Additionally, the directions state it should only be used to secure the right latch completely. I am able to confirm it took a great deal of effort on the left side of the latch to get it to only open partially on the left side. Despite our efforts, the right side did not move. Especially keep in mind that this is a theft deterrent. It's a closed door nobody will get in unless they want in. There are a number of ways to prevent crimes of opportunity with minimal inconvenience.

It's not as easy as you might think

The L) suggests an installation that will take only 10 minutes. I am not one of those people. Dodge Dakota 2004 - I encountered problems with it. There was no way to get it past the handle by loosening the back screws. To remove the trim, I had to remove it. numerous attempts, I discovered that a very thin putty knife inserted at the bottom of the trim would release the bottom tabs, and gentle pulling on an angle would allow it to be removed. It took me a few tries due to either having too many fingers or not having enough, but I finally got the P & P The installation of L is complete. After closing the tailgate, I noticed that there was no sound. I tried pulling up on the handle, but it did not release the latch! Unfortunately, I have a bed cover with latches on it, so I had no way to get to the Occasionally, you might feel the pit in your stomach after you go from anger to frustration. It took me many, many attempts with my trusty putty knife to disengage the latches, but I did it. Educator who leads the lesson. Prior to closing the tailgate, verify that any bed cover is open and that the latches on the handle operate properly. As an additional suggestion, get rid of the bolt that has to be tightened only. As soon as it is tightened, it is very difficult to remove. In order to hold the vise grips, I needed them. I spent hours trying to figure out what happened when the P&S failed Although L is installed according to the instructions on my truck, it is too recessed and does not allow the handle to extend far enough for the latches to be operated. By putting a nut on the mounting bolt on the inside of the tailgate, I was able to fix this problem. In this way, the P&D was limited in its recessed position As of now, it is working It takes ten minutes to install. . . It doesn't seem to be the case!.

The fit is perfect, the work is effective

Add on tail gate lock to existing latch that has been made well. If the entire handle is redesigned with the lock integrated, I would like to see that. (2004 Dakota) This lock is made by this company for late-model trucks but is not made to fit my truck. Installation is easy enough, and the locking mechanism works without needing to be tinkered with or adjusted. I don't think the locking mechanism is as robust as I'd like it to be, but it is similar to the cylinder lock The quality may be a little better, but not much better. Everyone gets the same key number, but it is unclear if they get it at the same time. It's not a high-security lock, but it might be enough to prevent people from removing your things.

That's all right

In a way. My Dad bought this for his new Pickup, and honestly, though it does provide security, it actually required more than a bit of jerry rigging and a trip to the hardware store, as we actually had to punch through the door housing and use our own mounting hardware. The unseemly thing was we figured it'd be a replacement for the broken one Pull the lever to lock A handle mechanism is a simple mechanism for holding items. Get rid of the old and bring But if you think of this as something more like a doorbell There might be a handle version of the sort of permanent "Club" contraption that you might install on your steering wheel to prevent thefts. Once you install it, you will be able to use

It's not that any other similar unit is going to be easier to retrofit, but this seemed to be a lot of seats for a small unit This is our The manufacturer of the pants rather than the pants themselves It is planned to cut and paste. As it is not a "One Size Fits All" device, you select the unit for your specific vehicle model and make, it is an unacceptable fact. Twice as many stars since once the mountains are moved, the unit works beautifully and secures the vehicle properly.

Make sure your tailgate is locked! For my 2000 Dakota, I read many reviews about the two locks it could choose from, and decided to invest the extra money in the Pop & Lock

Lock the door. About 15 minutes were spent installing the assembly, with the hardest part being squeezing it in place. My hair literally stood on end as I pulled up on the tailgate handle and pushed hard on the lock to get it in. My hand was shaking so hard I thought it was going to snap. However, it did not cause any damage to the aircraft when it went in. There is only one concern even though the package stated otherwise, the only screw that came with it was a security screw (I hate those things), so I pulled out a 1/4-inch screw I used a 20 hex bolt that I had in my hardware bin That was the solution to the problem. As soon as it was installed, it worked pretty well - it secured the lift handle and kept How likely is it that a determined thief will be able to That's a given. Are curious hands deterred from stealing in this way 95% of the time? I think so. A good value for 45 dollars I think so.
