My experience wasn't the same as the others, however.
There was a time when I thought I had only 2 bolts holding my tailgate in place. I discovered that the 3rd bolt was hidden in It took me about 30 minutes to remove the 3rd bolt and the hinge cover, plus, it's also secured with 3 metal tabs (see the photos). So the bolt and the hinge cover were actually connected. The first paragraph. You need to remove the three bolts holding it together. You should note that the bottom bolt holds the cover in place. - Breathe. -Breathe. The claw bar can be removed easily with a slim edge. After you do it, you'll notice how easy it is to put the new one.
A tailgate handle that I had previously did not include a lock. Due to its promise of working with my current vehicle key, I bought it. My old key was easily reprogrammed to this. I am amazed at how simple it was to do so. My key just needed to be inserted into the keyhole in order to lock the item the first time I received Then I was able to program my key It would be easy for a baby to climb up there.
It's impossible to know whether this item is compatible with a 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Classic despite Amazon's claim. Finally, this item is NOT compatible with a 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Classic at all. Due to the limited supply, this is the only model they offer, so it is out of my reach.
A single key feature makes it a great buy! I just installed this one in less than 5 minutes. The unit can be used as a single key unit without any problems. In my initial purchase I saw that the cylinder lock did not have the protective covering on the cylinder, but the back of the unit did say 'inspected'. I immediately opened the box to find that the cylinder lock did not come with the protective cover. This was simply an inspection for cosmetic damage to the unit. I returned it and bought a new one since they work only with the key originally installed so after trying my key, it didn't work, so I bought a new This is a lesson to be There is nothing wrong with these units, they look and fit as if they were The lock on this page will work well for your tailgate lock if you are looking for It is excellent that the single key can be used for all locks. Currently, I'm searching for a tonneau cover and I wish the manufacturer would use this key feature so that my key would open the tailgate and cover as well.
Following a few online videos which demonstrated how easy it is to install, the installation was quick and painless. The keyhole is the same as the original, but it is located on the bottom. All I had to do was turn the ignition key 180 degrees clockwise and I was good to go. I can now start the car using the There was no clear prompt on the videos I saw for quick install Outside the tailgate, you will have to pop off the handle cover first because the single bottom bolt of the three inside holds it in place. The bolt must be removed first, then the cover can be removed. In re The bolt should be the last part of the new cover to be installed after everything else has been done. It's as easy as pie!.
I am happy to see both boys and Wow! I don't know what else to say! It took me literally 10 minutes from start to finish to install this! When I tried to shut my tailgate, I had to slam it 10 times hard. Sometimes, it would pop open in the middle of the road! It turned out I needed a new tailgate handle to correct the issue, and I found this online! A great addition was the lock feature, as well as having the key paired in no time at all. I had no issues with my tailgate after I installed this. It only took 10 minutes! This is a great product. Do not hesitate to purchase it.
The GM OEM replica is a perfect fit and exact match. Overall, it took me about 15 minutes to replace the BOLT locking handle, which included removing the old handle and putting in the new one. It was easy to put together and I loved the fact that I could use my existing key, so I did not have to The truck I put it on is a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado LT 2500HD There are six people in the crew cab. *I am very happy with my new purchase and think it is definitely worth the investment.
A direct fit for an 07 Silverado 1500. Because the old handle mechanism was rusted and even grease could not fix it, I needed to have a new one. I decided to upgrade to a locking handle in order to protect my tools and other valuables, and the cost was scarcely more than an OEM handle without a locking mechanism. There was no damage to anything, everything had been packaged well, and was already assembled The installation of these products is very straightforward, as they are greased and ready to go. One of the greatest benefits is that you can key it to your ignition key, so that's very important to me.
