Questions & Answers

How much will it cost to cover a Tacoma's toolbox?

I would suggest using the 4l kit with the spray gun to cover the entire bed; I used 3- 1/2 of them, as well as three full coats

Is it possible to use this product without using a spray gun? Is it possible to simply pour it into a paint bucket and then roll it on with a paint roller?

You can use a roller if you want, but I wouldn't recommend it. To begin with, the texture of the coating is created by spraying. In the paint, there are no sand particles. Without the texture, I can't imagine this coating. Second, because the product is quite thick, I imagine it will roll out unevenly. Without a second coat, the few corners I attempted with a hand brush looked terrible. Third, the product is costly, and it is possible that the roller will generate more waste than the gun. Some reviewers have expressed dissatisfaction with the spray gun's tendency to leave a small amount of product behind. I collected the remaining paint in the bottle with a small touch-up brush and used it to fill in any corners or nooks that the spray gun may have missed (but I had to apply two coats in these areas). If you're going to spend the money on multiple coats, point two might be a good place to start. 3 is less relevant, but it has no bearing on my first point.

I'm looking to buy a steel bumper for my Jeep, and I'd like to coat it in this to prevent chips and rust before installing it. Do I need to prime it first, or can I just sand it down?

Except for baked-on products like powder coating, a primer can only aid in the adhesion of any coating.

will 1- Will a 750ml bottle suffice to paint a truck bed on a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado?

ANot 100% sure, but I believe a truck bed requires 4 bottles.

I really like this item
5/5

This is the second time I've bought Raptor Liner for a project; it's simple to mix, apply, and the end result is stunning. Do not waste your money on the $15 aerosol bed liner product. 00 or more per can when you can get a Raptor Liner kit that looks 10 times better when completed for nearly the same price, if not less. The only disadvantage is that the product must be sprayed after it has been mixed with the hardener. You'll also need an air compressor and a spray gun (which you can get as part of a kit with the rest of the product). For example, on a 1997 Jeep Cherokee XJ, I used this kit (one bottle plus hardener) to spray the lower sections of the doors, the rocker panels, the factory fender flares, and both the front and rear bumpers in one overlapping / thick coat.

Use only a portion of the hardener bottle
4/5

The single bottle comes with only pictures as instructions. Simply combine the hardener with the paint and apply to the surface. It's also worth noting that they provide enough hardener for four bottles. I was only going to touch up a few spots, so I only ordered one bottle. From memory, the hardener bottle appeared to be quite large, but there would have been no way of knowing if I were working on a small project.

The best DIY supplies are available
5/5

This is a material that can be used in a variety of ways. If you want a smoother texture, you can dilute it with urethane reducer and spray it with an HVLP gun. I used it on the top of a golf cart and was very pleased with the outcome. I sanded the surface down to a rough texture, then sprayed adhesion promoter, epoxy primer, and finally the raptor liner. Even if you tried, you wouldn't be able to get rid of it. I was finally able to get rid of my beige top!.

RAPTOR is one of my favorite characters
5/5

It was exactly what I needed to complete the JEEP. Quick shipping! It's been a year since I sprayed my JEEP, and it's still in great shape. It's a simple product to use, but a few pointers can help you get the most out of it. Allow only 45 minutes to work with it before it starts to set in the bottle and spray flakes. Before using the spray gun, learn how to disassemble it and grease the threads with silicone grease. I had two spray guns in case one of them didn't work or needed to be cleaned in a timely manner. Cleaning between bottles is recommended by Pol. Set the nozzle and air pressure to achieve the desired texture appearance. If you get too close to the surface, you'll get a gleaming spot. The first step is to prepare the surface. Best of luck! This is an excellent product, and I am extremely pleased with it.

This makes me angry
3/5

All of the local auto parts stores strongly recommended it. However, even if you follow the "t"'s instructions. We don't feel satisfied with the overall cohesion and durability. My father and I have been restoring a classic car, doing all of the work ourselves, including painting it, and we are disappointed that it has scratched in several places. Moreover, we hardly ever use the truck's bed.

There are no guesses when it comes to mixing and painting
5/5

There is nothing negative to say about this; it worked perfectly. I painted two truck beds, one from a 1975 Chevrolet shortbed and the other from a 2006 Chevrolet shortbed. It is extremely simple and does not require any guesswork. The preparation is the most difficult part, but if you have a good air compressor and a da, it shouldn't be too difficult. Each truck bed required four quarts.

There isn't a Liter kit in the bunch
5/5

It's only a quart. It's only 8 ounces less. This kit claims to be a 1 liter kit. It is, in fact, a one-quart kit. The quart is one quart. A liter and a half is 8 ounces less. I'm hoping it'll be enough to finish my project. br>I've previously used this product, which is why I gave it such a high rating. br>Quantity for the price was a little disappointing.

I was blown away
5/5

Wow. Both the front and back bumpers were sprayed. After the initial application, I wasn't so sure. But, wow, once I got the air dialed in. It's great stuff, and it's simple to put into practice. I only used half of the bottle and wished I had more things to spray!.
