Questions & Answers

What do you think about brushing this ?

A brush can be used to apply it. We were very pleased with how our truck bed turned out.

What type of spray gun is included in this kit?

It is not just the kit that can be purchased separately, the gun can also be used again and again.

It has sprayed all over my It appears to be drying, so I was wondering if I should wait seven days Does it matter if you do it after it has dried? Can you do it after it has dried for an hour?

Despite what you said above, I am unable to provide answers to your question. To the best of my knowledge, I've coated 20 truckbeds with this material, as well as a bunch of lower body perimeters and around wheel wells to simulate wheel flares. The 2k clear polyurethane (I use UreChem products) is mixed in after you have added the correct amount of hardner to the bed coating. Pour clear into the bottle, leaving just enough space for a good mixture when shaking it (between 3 and 4 ozs usually works) As per the instructions, shake it up. It gives you the freedom to spray as usual and you no longer need to worry about trying to remove Also, I have sprayed clear over "uncleared" and have done that the next day or the next. It has been fine so far Then and now. Tasks to be completed before the presentation This product - like any product of this kind - will require maintenance and care For good adhesion and durability, it is vital to have a smooth surface.

Should you prime anything you are going to paint or use primer on metal before painting or etching?

Basically, you need to scuff it up with 80 grit and wipe it down with acetone before you spray it. you are using raptor liner on bare metal I recommend a black primer followed by a light sanding first

This is a great option for enclosed trailers
5/5

It's crucial to do your prep work, as others have said. Remove TAPE FROM ANY AREA or OBJECT that you do not wish to have Raptor touch. Generally, predator will work on wood, is there is anything that contains oil, a quick sanding will be necessary. On standby, have a container filled with lacquer thinner. Every four liters, this allows the sprayer to be cleaned more easily. As "gunk" builds up, it becomes harder to remove. If you're spraying the first coat one way on trailers (like in my application), I recommend doing it one way. Then reverse the direction when you're applying the 2nd coat (either front to back or back to front). The plywood has grain / grooves that result in this. As a result of spraying both coats in the same direction, you will find that the plywood grain still remains My pancake compressor is set at 70 PSI and I used a 6 gallon pancake compressor. It was a little tricky to spray the first coat since I didn't spray consistently with the depth. From 12" to 20", I inserted and removed between those two measurements. It won't matter because you can easily fix the texture of the end result by applying a second coat. You just need to be consistent in the second If you don't need 100 ML of paint, then you don't need UPOL's recommendations. When buying automotive paint, the cost can get pretty high. A key to consistency is to consistently use milliliters per liter. To make one liter of wash, I used 70ml of Jet Black. To touch Raptor, it takes one hour for it to dry. Although the texture is soft after a few hours of walking on it, it still takes about 4 hours. If you plan to apply a second coat of paint, let it sit overnight. It took me a week to let the liner cure before I stepped foot inside the trailer and began working. I like this a lot! A trailer I have measures 18' x 7'. As well as the ramp and 18" up the walls, I sprayed the floor. Below is the amount I used (hopefully it will be helpful to other people since I couldn't find a suitable amount from This is
br>- Paint for 2 quarts of auto - The Raptor would take 15 liters.

The best product out there! 70 PSI- A smooth texture is evident at 1' It was 40 pounds per square inch
5/5

The best product out there! 70 PSI- A smooth texture is evident at 1' At a rougher texture of 2', 40 psi is applied. In my case, I smoothed the rock guard on the rocker and roughed out the This is the best A very durable material. When you want the thick coating of professional coatings, I would suggest purchasing two kits. It's not clear to me whether one kit will be enough. In my view, this kit will be sufficient, even though I have just put it on. As with professional sprayed kits, I believe this product will be as durable as it is with the There is a separate purchase required for the schutz gun. You don't have to be afraid of this The spray can be applied by anyone who wants to This can be cleaned by spraying a quarter cup of acetone through it. Whenever you mix or spray, wear a respirator that can block out organic vapors. The product will also emit fumes for at least a week. When I mix two bottles at once, I make sure I finish them pretty quickly. You will have it on the ground, floor, walls, panels, etc. if you don't do it outside or cover anything you don't want it on, it will get on those surfaces. So, wait one hour. Despite that, I love it.

It's more efficient to use a Raptor liner
5/5

Just sprayed it, but I got to say, the alternative product to custom coat is horrible. There's no other way to go than with a raptor. Using 14 bottles of custom coat black for the bedliner, bumper, and bottom skirting was not expensive. Raptor liner turned out to be sufficient for my entire truck including inner door jambs with its tintable option using only six bottles. There is no comparison between the ease of use and superiority of this product. For the black, I bought a custom coat because I didn't seem concerned about it, but I wish I had ordered the raptors all at once instead. I appreciate it. I would say that preparation is also key. I mean it gets You can tape it to prevent it from being texted if you want it not to be!.

It's a great tool and some tips that might be helpful
5/5

I did a great job spraying this and found it relatively easy to do. U- I used the generic one Spray gun for oily surfaces (U-shaped) In this experiment, I used a Husky 20 gallon air compressor at 50 PSI to spray GRAVITEX with the Pol Products 0726 Spray Gun. The following tip may be of interest You can get a 50 PSI stream by holding the spray gun open and maintaining a constant pressure). After sanding with 220 grit sand paper and taping with generic painter's tape, it took me about an hour to complete. As soon as the bed had been sanded, I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol. My next step was to spray 4 coats over the bed and tailgate. This took me around 6 hours. To prevent the spray guns from clogging, I soaked them in acetone between each coat. I am very pleased with how everything turned out. are arranged chronologically from the sanding stage to the first coat, second coat, third coat,.

My experience was good with this product
5/5

I put it on in about 80 seconds. With 90 degrees outside and a cheap two, this seems like an unlikely pairing. There was no drier on the line, so the 5 hp air compressor was set up without a drier. I set the psi to about 50 and everything seemed to go fairly smoothly. Because it was applied unevenly and the paint did not adhere evenly to both coats, the high heat caused it to dry before the next batch of paint could be Once I finished the job, I noticed that my imperfections were still evident, but after one week, I scooted my job site box from one truck bed to the next without seeing any scratches. My only qualm is that the coating is a little too smooth and shiny, but I knew this and had no issues with No, it's not rhino liner or whatever else the pros use, but I've used some enamel based stuff (the Rustoleum bed liner roll on and spray you can buy at Walmart) and this stuff is far better than it in every aspect except Despite dropping a hi lift style jack on the tailgate, there was a tiny scratch that was not very noticeable and did not go all the way into The kit I bought had 8 quarts, and I applied two coats to an 8 foot bed that had rust on the sides and tailgate (and even a little on the underside of the body where I tried to get rid of it). As a bonus, I had to place a mat under the job site box to stop it from moving, and I added a strap for extra security. You can get someone to spray in your preferred professional product with desired color if money is no object, but this is much cheaper than having someone use your preferred spray in pro product. Although I am not a great painter, I can only attest to the functionality of the program. My cleaning, sanding, and degreasing took a few hours, and I used one can of etch or whatever they call it, but when I start spraying I'm in too much of a hurry.
