With mine, I mounted it with the bolts that came with the product. I had to drill holes in the top of my bed rails to accommodate the bolts. I was able to adjust the cross members of the rack to fit a full sized bed on top of my 2000 Toyota pickup truck, and it would adjust open to fit a full sized truck.
It doesn't matter how much you cut it down, it still works

3 months later, the paint is peeling and the rusted parts are too loose to refinish. This is real Chinese junk, even if it was cheap. I don't like the look of it on my Tundra, it's too expensive.
There are two AA- institutions There is no way to get the rack X31 non drilling kit to work with a 5 foot Chevy Colorado bed unless you move it This means that the rack is only about three feet apart. The best thing to do is bolt the rack on. A boxed-in area runs along all four corners of the bed walls, and a base of about 13 inches long runs along the bottom. The bolts and tie-downs that I have added to mine currently only catch about a 1/2 inch of the main rack support pipes. Another issue is the top racks are secured with a bolt that only catches a small portion of it. Easily remove the racks located on top of the shelves by pulling them up. In order to ensure better securing of the bolt, the bolt should be lowered about 2 inches. As well as the caps are fragile and easily break. It is recommended that you purchase the X31 with 8 clamps for $184 if you are not planning on anchoring with bolts. The clamps separately cost about $55. This package is cheaper than buying them separately. This is what I use to haul 20-foot trailers We have ladders that are 28 feet long. Considering that there is just a 5 foot spacing between racks and it will carry 28 foot ladders, so far, it has performed well.
They are a pretty good product and I bought them to haul kayaks. There has been a problem I've had recently with the metal being very smooth and lacking A few of those low bars in parking garages have also caught my attention. My truck has a bolt-on ladder for bolting to the bed. My recommendation is to either remove the top cross bar when not in use or buy the clamps and use them to attach to your truck, if you are a casual user like me. It has generally been a good value, and I have used mine quite a bit and kayaked a lot more than I expected to since acquiring.
Despite its potential, this rack had a lot of potential. In spite of this, I noted a number of design and construction flaws during construction. This is *1/1. bolts that were welded to the members are not positioned to provide the correct grip on adjoining members*2. This product ships with short bolts that cannot be installed inside the 1. 2. 3. A light rain fell the night before, which rained the following day. 4 *br As you can see, the bolt is less than one inch into the tube at the point of attachment of the external bolt. When I tightened the bar completely, it was quite easy to dislodge the front end. As a result, the top bars can be split easily from the vertical struts, which means your load is gone in a matter of seconds.
It does what I need it to do. I like how stable it is.
The reason I bought them was to use them with my VANGUARD Black Bravo Bed Bar ( to be able to take a small jon boat camping with us. Although I am no longer using this rack for what I am now, it is sturdy and can hold much more weight than what I am currently using it for. If I need to drop a few hundred pounds of lumber and/or ladders on them, I would do it without hesitation. In reality, I didn't mount them on the bed rails before I needed them, but instead clamped them down with four C clamps as I needed Although they did include mounting hardware, they did not include the instructions. This is a great rack if you need a reliable but inexpensive one.
