I used the clamps for a truck rack and they worked well. Then I entered them into the US Xtreme Pick This is my 2013 Ram 1500 4x4 with an Up Adjustable Rack. As well as the rack, it was purchased on Amazon. For the rack and clamps, you will primarily use them to haul It is strongly recommended to use.
The quality of these clamps is superb, they are heavy-duty, very strong, and are very well made. I'm always hesitant before buying something like this on Amazon since I can't try it out. Piece of quality, with threads for the bolts on the lower edge to tighten into the body, instead of junk clamps that only thread into the lower edge about 3/8" deep. As a whole, there is no need to hesitate on the purchase of these parts, I'm really particular about parts, and these meet my needs.
This clamp was supposed to be threaded all the way through to give it extra strength on the aluminum threads, but it is not. For anyone else wondering the same thing, it is not threaded all the way through. A thread with a length of 0 has been created. The bottom portion of the machined section is unthreaded, which is still very respectable and provides more thread engagement than standard. See attached picture for more information. Threads adhere smoothly to the drill bit after tightening. Six of these clips were used on my contractor style topper with built-in channels On a short bed with ladder rack. In addition to providing stronger clamping force, there is also a more even clamping force on the topper with 6 clamps rather than just 4 on the shortbed. I found that this design is much more effective than the pivot design I was using previously. In the next few years, I will gradually replace all of my fleet's clamps with these. The product is excellent and the price is great.
I have a sleeping platform inside my truck topper, and these keep it out of the way better than my older In my opinion, the word "anti-" should be used instead Before assembly, the threads of the bolts should be fitted with "seize" type material. If a bolt is tightened into aluminum, it will gall and cause the clamp to break.
Over the rail clamps using these instead of Tracrac were exactly what I was looking for. For the brackets on the tonneau cover, I needed more clearance. As a result, these worked. The grooves in the feet of the upright perfectly line up with the handles. You found a great deal.
To hold my home made truck rack made of two X fours and closet shelf supports from Home Depot, I used these clamps. This rack is held together more tightly than a drum by clamps. Especially for a price that is comparable to that of C clamps. Very satisfied.
My experience with these clamps has been extremely disappointing. It was yesterday when I installed them. It was maybe a 10-mile drive. My truck's factory light had been broken for quite some time, so I cut it off today so i could attach a cargo Five of the six bolts blew off while I was removing them. Using a ratchet, I gently tightened the bolt. A breaker bar is not needed. This means I know I did not push them beyond their limits.
