I don't recall the exact diagram because it's been a while, but there should be a wiring diagram with the color code on the controller, br>br>I believe one goes to 12 volt power, one to the brake light, one to the ground, and one to the trailer's electric brakes, follow the brake controller's manual for proper connections.

Summary: This high-quality part is exactly what you need for a Hayes custom brake controller installation. br>br> Most newer Hayes brake controllers have a connector that connects directly to a high-quality pigtail setup. If your controller came without a connecting cable and you can't use one of the "Big 3" connector cables for a Ford, GM, or Chrysler plug-in vehicle, you'll need this item. with regard to If your vehicle has the appropriate socket, you should use one of those cables, which simply plug in on both ends. br>br>This item works in vehicles that lack a socket and require you to wire it in yourself. The controller plugs in, and the other end is connected to the vehicle trailer wiring as required.

It was exactly what they said it would be. Exactly what I wanted.
It's simple to install, and you can use it in another vehicle. It's also simple to switch from one vehicle to another.
Part of it worked flawlessly.
