A quick diagnosis is required. This is an excellent resource.
This is the pin connector you'll need. When I bought a new snowmachine trailer, the shop kept telling me that my plug was bad. When I got home, I checked for myself and discovered that the plug's pins had been bent. Straightened them out, then used this tester to make sure everything was in working order. It's in the glove compartment of my car. I use it every time I hook up to make sure the plug is working first, and then I know it's not the plug if the lights aren't working.
Poor execution of a great idea. The sound is not loud enough to be heard over the sound of a truck running.
Thank you for making the best tool, which I used after installing the trailer.
it's effective.
ONE TEST WAS INVALID, SO I TRYED IT ON ANOTHER VEH, AND SEVERAL OTHERS NEED TO BE REPLACED.
The quality is poor. There are two issues - When I got it, the casing was cracked. There's no need to be concerned. However, the first time I used it, it fell apart. It turned out that there was no set screw holding it together, so it disintegrated in the socket - It's extremely difficult to remove it without causing damage. When I was plugged in, I was able to work and I appreciated the audible feature - Checking the trailer circuits from the vehicle's interior is a fantastic idea. My Prodigy brake controller didn't seem to work with it - The brake controller didn't recognize it was connected, and the brake control LED light on this unit would simply blink slowly, but there was no explanation - I believe the LED should remain lit at all times. This is something that the instructions aren't very clear about. I returned it, primarily due to issues with quality control, and Amazon's return policy, as always, is fantastic!.
In a manufacturing environment, it's a little difficult to hear, but it works fine.
