The indicator light is hardwired with two wires and can be used as constant on trailer lights: one is negative and the other is positive (Red wire for red lights, white wire for white lights, and yellow wire for amber lights); these lights do not come with an on/off switch and wire leads come out the back in the center, so you will need to drill a hole in the mounting surface for them; because each truck lamp has two wires, they can only be used for one function at a time;

Is it possible to use these with a flasher for LED lights?

It doesn't require any resistors to be loaded, so that's a plus.

What are the screw specifications, especially the head size that will fit in the light base? Why can't I use the nuts in my setup?

For my application, I went to the hardware store and purchased high-end stainless steel hardware. That is the most effective method of accomplishing your goal. The small bolts and nuts they provide aren't very good. Mine was put to good use in an ATV application.

Are these lights DOT-approved, and do they serve as reflectors when they're not in use?
