How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

A MUST FOR TRAILERS WITH A WIDTH OF 80 INCHES OR MORE - Identification lights are required for trailers with a width of 80 inches or more; mount this clearance light bar on the top of your truck/trailer or between the taillights to draw extra visibility to your wide trailer for added on-road safety.
DOT-CERTIFIED REFLECTIVE LENS - Unlike cheaper, lower-quality ID bars, ours is equipped with a DOT FMVSS-108-rated reflective lens that complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
SUBMERSIBLE RATING OF IP67 - Waterproof and completely submersible for all-weather use; mounting bracket has a water drainage notch for added protection.
SOLID CONSTRUCTION - Unlike other light bar brackets, the black bracket is made of long-lasting stainless steel, not cheap plastic. The hardware is made of stainless steel.
DIRECT INSTALLATION- Mounting bracket has notches on the short sides for easy wire routing; positive input wire and ground wire are attached; mounts on 8. 5 inch centers

Questions & Answers

What is the distance between the screw holes?

1/2". Additional dimension specifications can be found in the image gallery's last image. I hope this has been of assistance.

Which of the wires is the ground?

The white wire on the 15" 9 LED trailer light bar is (Ground).

Is this compatible with a 24 volt system?

No, this item only works with a voltage range of 8 to 12 volts. 16 V DC is the only voltage available.

Is there a series connection between the lights?

Because LEDs are voltage-sensitive, they're almost always connected in series. If one of the diodes fails in a parallel circuit, no other lights will go out. Anything downstream of the failed LED will be turned off as well if the LED is connected in series. I hope this has been of assistance.

I'm disappointed because it isn't working correctly
3/5

A very nice 1997 Ford F350 XLT Dually was recently acquired by us. My young son and I are currently in the process of replacing all incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs. This product was purchased to replace the other three that were damaged. Just below the tailgate, there is a light bar on the back of the truck. br>The reviews were excellent, and I must say that the working lights are lovely and bright. The problem is that after spending about an hour removing the old bar and replacing it with this product, we discovered that two of the three LED bulbs in the middle light were not working. The quality control is not to my liking. 2 stars for a nice product, good packaging, and quick delivery. br>I will keep you updated if the company contacts me to resolve the situation.

Bright, water-resistant, and well-made made
5/5

Above and below the water, it's fantastic! br>br>Installers should be aware of the following: 1. br>br> There's a top and a bottom to this! Water can drain from between the trailer frame and the light bar thanks to a notch on the bottom. Because the wires would have exited the wrong side if I mounted it that way on my trailer, I notched the "top" and turned it over. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br I made use of a hot-glue gun. To keep the wires from moving and being pinched during the installation, use a melt glue gun to tack them down to the light bar frame in a few places. It only took a few dabs to get the job done. Correcting a flaw isn't my idea of a good time. I was working on a side project.

Excellent work and appearance! Price: less than any local storebr>br>Brightness: more than any local storebr>br> br>br>Installation: br>br>Very brightbr>br>Installation: br> I replaced the two included screws with two self tappers instead of the two included screws

The ends of the ground and live wires are already cut; all you have to do is pull the plastic off. It's extremely simple to set up. br>br>For my boat trailer, I decided to purchase two of these. The metal strip's black contrast looks fantastic against the red color! br>br>I haven't yet submerged the lights, but I'll post a follow-up review to see how things go.

It's an upgrade from $8
5/5

On Amazon, there is a 99 lighbar. I ordered this with the expectation of receiving it the next day via Prime. After a week, Amazon informed me that it had been sent to Brazil by mistake (I live in the United States) and would not be delivered. They offered me a refund (rather than a replacement), which I gladly accepted. Meanwhile, I bought a $3 lightbar. I decided to purchase it because it was only 00 less. Both light bars arrived on the same day, which is a bit of a coincidence. Crazy. However, this provided an opportunity to contrast the two. Additional thoughts: 1. br>br> I connected both of them to a battery-powered device. side-by- side-- and they're just as bright, despite the fact that the lens covers on the $8 aren't as good. Each individual LED is visible in the 99 version. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The metal frame on this one appears to be thicker, and based on the weight, I believe that is correct. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. The one on the right has a dedicated ground wire, while the one on the left does not. In fact, the less expensive version uses a screw and a thin wire that must make contact with the frame to ground. (I'm sure it works, but I'm not sure how long it will! )br>br>4. )br>br> This one is from Taiwan, while the other is from China, and both are of high quality. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> The extra $3 is well worth it.

The room is light and airy
4/5

It is simple to put together. After the OEM, which cost ten times as much as these, became flooded and shorted out, I ordered these. LEDs that are very bright. The metal channel, on the other hand, needs to be a little deeper to accommodate the wires. This resulted in a one-star deduction. If they hold up over time, we'll know.

It appears to be of high quality
5/5

This was purchased for my boat trailer. It had to be able to withstand saltwater and be submerged. It appears to be well-made and sealed completely. Only time will tell how long it will last; the original one rusted out after 8 years on the boat, so hopefully this one will last at least as long.

Quality, cost, and installation are all excellent
5/5

It's EVERYTHING YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR. I am very pleased with my purchase after reading reviews to learn about the good and bad points of this product. So far, the leds are extremely bright, adding a lot of value to my truck quickly, and the overall construction is of reasonable quality, sealed with high-quality wiring. People have complained that some LEDs have stopped working, and I believe this is due to the fact that the wiring behind the light is loose, and when mounted, it is prone to getting squished, which I believe has been grounded out on the light's metal framing, so BE CAREFUL! (When mounting the light, I glued/taped the wiring straight down to avoid it passing the light's border. ) Overall, the light looks great when it's installed, and it works just as well. I gave it five stars because it is of excellent quality for the price. I've worked in the mechanical field for over 15 years, and this product is fantastic!.

Be Wary of the Buyer! Be wary of the buyer! This light caused an electrical short on my trailer, melting a wire harness and costing me another $50 in replacement parts as well as hours of troubleshooting
3/5

Right out of the box, this light bar was wired incorrectly. Quality control is extremely poor. I also can't return the light because I didn't use it right away. I hope my experience leads you to a different company, because I will not take such a risk again, especially given the risks associated with electrical equipment.
