Therefore, I was a bit skeptical going into buying it. The jack's capabilities are underrated, and I can now say with confidence that it is. Having a lift of 31 inches and a lifting capacity of 1200 pounds is just what I needed for dropping transmissions on The four swivel casters are easy to maneuver and the unit is well built. This jack is easy to use. I used it to drop out and then lift a G56 6 speed gearbox from a Dodge 3500 with 4" lift, and it had no trouble doing it. It has well-built adjustable saddles, nicely articulating head adjusters, and is easy to adjust. My only complaint is that the head tilt might be a little sloppy, but show me a $6000 trans jack that doesn't. This is a good product and I would buy it again no problem.
I bought this new, but it failed the first time I used it. I raised the jack several times, but it never went all the way up. I checked to see if fluid was full and it was, so I'm guessing it's a bad seal, since it took a lot of pumps to get it I guess there was a problem with quality control. To do the job, I had my old SnapOn 2 1/2 ton jack that was 30 years old on hand.
It was necessary to turn around and buy a new.
It was made well and was of.
This jack arrived broken, was subsequently replaced, but after using it twice, it became faulty again, the capacity is listed as 2000 lbs, but it cannot handle anything more than 500 lbs. It weighs over 00 pounds.
I bought this for our workshop and I am very pleased with it.
It would be nice if the handle was a little shorter and the chain mount for the PTO was available.
Due to the bearings falling out of the wheels, i need 4 wheels, and I will return the brook wheels.
