Selected User Reviews For OTC 5237 Transmission and Fuel Tank Jack - 1000 lb. Capacity
In August 2016, the product was purchased. It's a five bay, small repair shop owned by me. A jack like this is used once a week to load fuel tanks and It has been around for a year and a half and the top seal on the ram has completely blown. As I looked up the warranty on the unit with OTC, I found out that seals are no longer covered after one That's fine. Would you like to know how much the seal costs? Kits cost $655, which you can get only as part of a kit. It is not possible to work around this issue. In addition. We do not have the kit in stock. It is on back order. I will buy no more OTC products after I buy that. It is disgusting that we pay top dollar for a warranty that is so useless, and the company doesn't provide an effective solution to a problem that is obviously prevalent.
good but for the head you can't safely put a weird shaped or ill-balanced transmission on it safely without it flopping all over the place could have expected much better product for the price would not recommend and leaks are terrible.
Using this jack on Allison 1000 transmissions on a daily basis. As far as I can tell, this is the only American made transmission jack currently available that works without air in the initial stage. A Grey Jack and all of its rebranded brands (including a different OTC model) require air and have an awkward hand pump under the head that is difficult to use. A lot of adjustments are possible with a high-quality head, and the mechanism is finely adjusted and smooth when operating. It arrived without the casters, Amazon was unable to point out who was at fault (OTC, Amazon, or UPS) and offered me the option of returning the entire jack and ordering another 5+ weeks back or giving me a 10% refund to purchase The 10% refund is what I opted for and I My casters were sent to me for free without my asking any questions (not even for proof of purchase). If you are going to be using a transmission jack regularly, I would recommend this jack Although it is better than the tools the average DIY mechanic would need, it might be perfect for you if you don't mind spending the extra cash on it.
Shop tool that is of high quality.
I recently purchased this high lift tranniesack to remove HYDROSTATIC FLYWHEEL MOTORS from a John Deere Sprayer, and it works perfectly.
We are very pleased with it. I like how it looks. I was very happy with his service! I would highly recommend it.
