Questions & Answers

What is the reason why 1 costs 55 dollars and 2 costs 222 dollars?

There was almost a chance that I would order four separate items. of them are in one box, while one is on its own.

What if I want to use this for a travel trailer?

This seems to be the case. I find these to be very sturdy and stable, the best stands I have ever used. If you are ordering more than one, order them separately a day or two apart, otherwise they will throw them in one box and you will end up with a scuffed up product. The two books I ordered were fine and arrived two days apart.

When is it able to be used at the lowest height? My highest thanks! ?

It is approximately 13 meters below the lowest point. Its highest setting is 21 inches and its lowest setting is 5 This is the kind of stand I love

The product described in the product description is not the same as what is delivered to the buyer. It seems that I received jack stands that have half of the adjustment settings and are shorter than they are described. Despite Amazon's knowledge, they shifted me around a lot when I requested a refund, telling me it was against the company's policy and that I would have to return the item and pay for An Amazon representative even informed me that I would not be able to be helped, even though my purchase came from Amazon. It has also been made known that the product description is inaccurate even though Amazon has been notified of the issue. Having bought two esco products from amazon that were drastically different from what was described and did not suit my needs, this is my second experience with ESCO products. Both parties are to blame for misleading the consumer and for won't risk my life by getting under a car if this is the stand I'm using.

In 16 months of ownership, we have seen the first signs of rust
3/5

As a first point of information, I'd like to mention that the jackstands are in use without problems for about 16 months. So far, I've been able to raise both my 335i and Nissan cars using these products without any trouble. It allows me to adjust the height of the vehicle to the height I need so that I can do the work I'm doing. Nevertheless, the finishing on the tubular parts of two of the four stands I bought developed rust, which covered both the welded connections and the tubular parts of the jacks. I have used powder coats in conditions under which they shouldn't produce such rust. When properly selected and applied, they shouldn't do this. The stands have been subjected to conditions ranging from freezing to around 90 degrees Fahrenheit, as well as humid conditions typical for the Atlantic Northeast. Additionally, they have not been exposed to conditions that would cause the coating to be damaged or worn away. Basically, this signifies that either the powder coat was not applied correctly, or that it is very poorly applied. The surfaces of the jack stands purchased before I was born are in better condition than those of the ones that my father bought before I was born. It looks like the jack stands were produced by Craftsman in the 1980s and share a similar In this regard, I would have expected their lifespan to be atypical, even if I purchased them during this time period. Additionally, the warranty on the jack stands I bought has This is indeed disappointing that the 16 month old jack stands have already begun showing signs of wear that are not seen in 35+ year old jack stands. While I'm not seeking to point fingers at any particular manufacturer or region, I have noticed that a lot of products Americans consume come from a specific region on the other side of the globe. Additionally, that part of the world is known to produce inexpensive products that last only for a short while. This part of the world has a very strong correlation with rapid failures in my case when I've used products that are made here. The best way to find items on Amazon is to use the search bar A lot of products of this kind are end sources. Since I learned about the foreign-speakers on Amazon, I have become very weary of using it Manufactured products aren't worth this much when they tend to last so short. But for things made for the public, I'd opt for a product that costs twice as much but lasts 30 times As soon as possible, I will check to see if I can get the coating replaced by a local shop and compare the price of that replacement with that of As far as using these stands is concerned, I'm not comfortable even using them after a few months, given the wear they are showing. *Edit
ESCO refinished the two rusted stands as part of the warranty period after I contacted them. Despite their assurance that they would refinish the stands, they told me that the shipping both to and from their warehouse would have to be covered by me. If you chose the cheapest option, this would have cost over $100 due to the weight and size of the stands. Rather than to contact a local shop and have them strip the surface coat, I would have just had a newly applied power coat applied.

This is an absolute waste of time! Let me know what you think! Both the jacks have a defect! One of the jack stands wouldn't slide down when the top portion was lifted
3/5

There were paint drips on the second jack stand due to sloppy welding on the first. The jack stands looked like they were welded badly with pieces of welding material inside the tubes. Despite being advertised as powder coated, they are not. The welds on both of them were sloppy and ugly. On another piece, the holes were not drilled in the center. The price of these jacks was not as high as I was expecting. Quality control is not in place. We need to send them The US jacks I am buying are from the USA.

A high-quality, exceptionally durable and stable product
4/5

It's a great idea to have Jack stands like these. It was a few weeks ago when I had a problem with my Audi SQ5. As a result of my inability to determine where the clanking noise was coming from, I was having trouble troubleshooting the problem. my car up on jack stands (a 2 ton set from AutoZone and a 3 ton set from Lowes) and run it to reproduce the noise when I noticed the back 2 ton stand starting to bend due to the shifting of the front end. hopped right out of that situation and ordered these right away. The minute I received the SQ5 on these, I felt much more confident. No movement is made by them, and they will not shift from their position. These jack stands made me feel like I could trust them with my life. I totally justified the high price by the sense of security I felt. It was a pleasure to receive all four that I ordered, and I was very happy with their quality in addition to the packaging. Since I have an SUV, I also found the higher height of these really helpful. ***The ONLY complaint I have about these stands is that the rubber pads did not hold up the very first time I used them with a pinch welded clamp. I don't think it's a big deal since you can use pretty much anything else to replace it. It was a little tedious that two of my pads were damaged (two of the pads were placed on pinch welds, and the other two were placed on flat-frame jacking points, so they were fine). If not, I will probably just use hockey pucks or buy a couple of pinch weld adapters. If you could please provide me with a couple of replacement pads, I would greatly appreciate it. You've been reading a good article.

The product is junk and has no quality control
3/5

In a nutshell No good at all. A quality control department has apparently been axed from the company. In terms of radial clearance between the moving part and the base, it is massive. In the top half of the jack, this causes a lot of shifting. The power coating finish is terrible. There were a lot of chips when I received it. As for welding, the quality is also pretty low. From one of the finest to the worst I have ever seen, this jack stand has gone from great to horrible.
