This was cheaper than Harbor, the lowest price I could find. The sticker on the cover cannot be removed cleanly, which makes it a 4 star. It is strange that so many products use stickers that have to be scraped really hard or can be removed with Could we use an adhesive that can be peeled off. How much more would it be? It was supposed to be peeled off since it was never even applied in a clean manner to begin with. As a result, when you weld it afterward, you usually burn it off, making it that much harder.
As good as this coupler is, I would have given it a 5 if it had not been for the horrible sticker or decal the distributor put on the product. It was quite difficult to remove the sticker and its very bad adhesive glue before painting it. Despite its name, the decal is not removable. Instead of scraping it off, it literally had to be scraped off in pieces while I used denatured alcohol to dissolve it. It is ridiculous to use a large and durable decal like this. Taking off the decal and welding it to the new tongue took about twice as long. Installing couplers on new trailer builds is something I do every week. There are many other brands that work the same way. The two items are likely to have been made at This one is cheaper to ship, so I bought it to save a few days. The company may rethink its practices if someone at the top doesn't know how to use common sense. Unless you enjoy removing decal adhesive, consider another brand. Although it is an excellent product, it comes with an awful lot of hassles.
It's a class 3, but the class 2 coupler was the same price. I guess I could go bigger, and besides, this thing should outlast my trailer now, There were no bolts or nuts included* im a jerk* ** But in all seriousness, this product was perfect, extremely strong, and much lighter than I thought it would be. I appreciate it.
Now that I'm caught up on this, I'm updating it. There were no problems with this coupler for about a year, but after a while, the latch became a bit hard to operate. There is probably a way to lubricate it to make it easier, so no big I noticed when I put it in the water it started rusting really badly in just over a year. In the event that I need a replacement, I will find one that is different. As a result, I had to replace my coupler because it was badly rusted. I'm giving this a solid A- The quick connect latch is built into the frame coupler. I like how simple and easy it is Note that the holes for bolting it to your trailer are on top if you intend to bolt it to it. When I bought it, I was not aware of this and had to drill new holes in my trailer to line it I was able to complete that process in a few minutes and am now ready to proceed. The book is highly.
The old coupler was bent due to an accident with the trailer. This one is the replacement for the old one I purchased and I had my friend remove the old A very easy to weld design, everything lined up just right. There is a chained safety pin attached to the safety lock, which is a nice touch. It was then well coated in white lithium grease so it could be protected. My trailer has been used three times since it was installed (once to haul a ton and a half of gravel) without any complaints. I also like the price.
In accordance with the advertisement. Aside from the fact it's well made, painted, and pre-assembled, that's all there is to say about it For the right applications, threaded holes and bolts are easy to use. The paint is in good condition.
Welding my damaged coupler back on was no easy task, but I've got a trailer that's as good as new after cutting the damaged coupler off.
I say yes to That's why it's essential to weld it. In that case, you need to look for it if you're going to bolt it on.
