My pleasure! Thanks for your inquiry! These bolt holes on the 981 P-shaped bracket are about 15 mm apart Three inches is the size of the second coupler.

The old one had the designation "981P", with no "2" at the end. It came with a bolt and it was easy to put on and it was configured to fit right out of the box, so I was wondering if it would fit, but it did and took about 5 minutes to install. This is far more cost-effective than installing a new kit, even if it is a little more expensive.

This made in the USA product fit the bill and was a much better product than the offshore part that it took the place of. With the old product, I was having trouble using the coupling mechanism. With this product, it works more smoothly, and I have not had any issues coupling it. Due to the holes being out of alignment with the old ones, I had to drill new holes in my bar (on a wood splitter).
