Questions & Answers

From top to bottom, where is the location of the two mounting holes?

Having experienced some of these, I can tell you that not all of them can be In fact, the two mounting holes are one inch apart from the top of the trailer tongue, so it is a little late for the OP. For trailer tongues that do not conform to this configuration, you will need to buy a new coupler or drill new mounting holes forward or backward relative to the existing ones. As a result of drilling backwards from existing, the tongue might also have to be cut to the corresponding size.

The distance between the holes on the top, measured from center to center, is what?

Three 1/16-inch holes at the top indicate that they are not to be used A 3" hole is located on each side

Does it say USA made on the back?

The firms that fall under the Cequent umbrella such as Fulton or Bulldog no longer manufacture in the United States. Whether or not there is still a company in the United States that produces trailer couplers is not known to us.

Do you need a certain amount of space in order to slide on the ?

Due to the fact that I sold the trailer, I will not be able to answer that question. The cover fit over the last five or six inches of the trailer tube, I recall. I really like how it works.

It is important to be careful when replacing the coupler on older trailers
4/5

The trailer I have was manufactured in 2000. Eventually, the tongue bent due to poor workmanship (long story), and I had to replace it as well as the coupler. The model number of the same item I purchased is . My first impression was that the coupler felt nice and solid. The issue was that the coupler's mounting holes did not line up with the mounting holes on the tongue of the hitch. It is likely that the design of the coupler has evolved in 20 years, as it may actually have a different mounting configuration. What a pain! However, in the event that you have access to machining tools and can drill and cut through fairly solid metal, nothing to worry about. Because I do not own a lot of power tools, I had to get creative with several new drill bits and I had a limited supply of power tools. we got it done in the end!.

It has a good shape
5/5

My Triton snowmobile trailer required a new tongue, so I purchased this product. There was an old one that was rusted, beat up, and out of adjustments. This tongue arrived well packaged and on time with an instruction sheet included. It appears to be well made and came with an instruction sheet. There are a lot of improvements over the original tongue coupler, including that it feels heavier and looks and works Although I did not expect the mounting hardware to be included, it didn't come with it. I installed it just like I did with the old one, adjusting it for a 2" ball, and everything seems to be working fine. The item I purchased was of good quality.

I like it a lot! As a Fulton product, you can be sure that it is high quality and performs well
5/5

In this case, it's well made, and has an excellent finish. Everything is smooth and tight, without any slop, and there's nothing flimsy about it. There is no substitute for the real thing. A quality product is what you are looking for.

The device poses a safety hazard
3/5

The system malfunctions. This is a safety hazard, as the ball does not lock onto it. There were errors in the assembly of the product. That took several hours of work to figure My next observation was that the part that locks under the ball does not work properly after I fixed that problem. There was a problem with my coupler, so I had to replace it. However, it does not appear that I can return this, despite the fact that it does not work. The only thing I would change is to give this a zero star rating.

It is exactly what was Since I first started using Fulton, I have not looked back. Other brands exist, but I find that Fulton continues to offer the best amount for a product of such high quality.

Keeping people safe
5/5

I built this trailer off of an old boat trailer. It is 5'x8'. The installation of this was simple. The rusted surface is protected from corrosion. I have used this trailer to tow my motorcycle. I was very happy with my tongue and the results Despite the tightness, it persists.

Exactly what I was looking for
5/5

On my trailer, which used 3" wide box tubing, I had to replace a trailer coupler that was badly rusted. The Fulton name and the #300 were barely visible on the sign. It was easy to line up the holes when the coupler arrived. It took me less than 5 minutes to install.

There is a coupler on the trailer

In place of the previous coupler on my utility trailer, this coupler works perfectly.
