Questions & Answers

What's the best place to get roof rack brackets for these?

Mounting holes have been drilled into the boards. You can either make your own bracket or buy one premade, depending on the rack you're mounting these on. Other companies that make recovery boards sell mounting brackets that will fit your recovery board. To mount mine, I simply used a long bolt, washers, and twist on nuts; it all depends on whether you want something with a quick release and security feature or not.

Will this also work in the snow and mud?

In any situation where traction is limited, they are a useful tool. They'll come in handy in the mud or the snow.

Is this something that comes from China?

It is currently being held in a US warehouse. It's also manufactured in China.

Is there a way to mount a roof rack easily?

Without a doubt.

The E450 is a Class C motorhome
5/5

These were purchased to help me get my Class C motorhome out of the muck. It's a 27-foot E450 that weighs 11,500 pounds. It had the traction it required thanks to the ramps. I positioned them on the outside wheels, one on each side. They were able to lift the motothome out of the ruts because the ramps were strong enough to support the weight. Awesome!.

It's a lot of fun to work in the mud
5/5

I got stuck four times in a row down a nasty track and was able to get out each time, even though I was thrashing on them. Wear gloves or bind the rope handles to the handles because they become heavy in the mud. When they're caked in mud, the handles are too small to be comfortable. If you use them in mud, however, gloves or rope handles will be invaluable.

ramps made out of snow   Winter has arrived in New York State, and I've been stuck in the snow more times than I care to remember
5/5

So this year, I decided to be prepared with these traction boards, which I will keep in my trunk at all times in case I get stuck. These are much larger than I anticipated, and while they may not be suitable for a large truck, they will undoubtedly be suitable for my small car. These have incredible grip and traction, and they come with a carrying bag to keep them in while you're out and about. They are extremely high-quality traction board pieces. br>It's also useful for other things besides snow, such as getting stuck in the mud, sand, or ice, or anything else you can think of. With these, you'll be able to get out! All you have to do with these is place them under two of the tires and drive forward to get out of the stuck spot. They take up very little room in your trunk, are simple to carry and handle, and will save you time and money by avoiding the need to call for assistance. These boards are 44 inches long, 13 inches wide, and 4 inches thick, and they can be used for a variety of purposes. The thickness is 5 inches. Boards for babies are not allowed! Will work better than sand, cat litter, or any other method you might try to get unstuck.

worth it! They completed their single task multiple times
5/5

These are fantastic. They've come in handy on both steep inclines and snow. I high-centered myself several miles from pavement, out of cell service. br>br>digging up a bunch and stuffing them under the tires was a huge help. I'm writing a review because, despite my reservations about the price, it did the job I needed it to do and saved me from making an embarrassing phone call for assistance. I'm very happy. I didn't notice any significant degradation after the first few uses, but I also crawl out and don't spin the tires. The only drawback is that stacking four of these results in a very tall stack. It stands about 10 inches tall when mounted on my roof rack! The simplest way to attach these appears to be with ratchet straps. br>br>These are something I would recommend to anyone! Everyone should own a pair of recovery boards, in my opinion. I just wish they were more evenly stacked. br>br>In a year or so, I'll update. However, they have been performing admirably for the past six months that I have had them.

So many times, these have come to my rescue
4/5

They're . So many times, these have come to my rescue. They're exactly the same as more expensive brands. What does it matter if the carry bag is inexpensive?.

A smidgeon of foresight is worth a pound of cure I had a difficult time getting unstuck the last time I went camping and drove through mud, and my brother had to assist me with a tow strap
5/5

I was prepared this weekend! Instead of waiting until I got stuck in some really bad mud to use these traction boards, I used them ahead of time. I got as close to the mud as I could, then laid the boards in front of my wheels and drove right through it. Because the boards are so long, it worked perfectly! They're extremely durable, not brittle, and I was able to repack them for future use. I'm thinking of getting a set for my younger sister as well, so I won't have to worry about her getting stuck in the snow.

You get what you pay for, and I probably should have just bought the genuine article
3/5

The boards shattered and broke after a relatively minor recovery event. I got stuck in a ravine and tried to use the boards, but they quickly broke. Sometimes generic products are sufficient, but I am afraid that this is not the case with these.

It was a good product at a reasonable price that did exactly what it was supposed to do
5/5

The price was excellent, and it greatly aided my off-road adventure. I would definitely buy from them again. My Super Duty on rocks was able to withstand it.
