I'm a triathlete, and I'm looking for a new challenge Will it fit a two-axle trailer with a measurement of 72" from the center of the front and back axles? Why aren't the measurements accompanied by pictures?

Fitting a standard is not an option. There isn't enough room for a tri axle because the tandem axle isn't long enough.

I know the overall length is 72, but is that from fender end to fender end, or is that just the top length?

The bottom of the fender measures 72" in length, while the top measures 60" in length.

The edges are angular

These fenders appear to be of adequate construction. I had to prime and paint them because they were unpainted bare steel. I can't find any backs for them, so I'll have to make some out of sheet metal. They were reasonably priced, and I'm happy with them in general. I just wish they came with ready-made backs from the manufacturer.

Durability is an important factor

These fenders were purchased for use on my water trailer at the cabin up north. These fenders have done a fantastic job so far. Because I knew we'd be walking on them, I used truck bed liner paint to reinforce the mounting system. We'll have to wait and see how it holds up to snow and rain over time, but I think they'll be fine.
