There is no definition for NV3500HD on this site. The only difference is that I installed mine on a Titan Pro crewcab, plug n' play, default settings worked nicely over 6,000 miles An RV trailer by Lance). I believe the plug for the trailer tow package is tucked under the dash next to the steering column if the vehicle has a trailer tow package. In my case, my controller was on that shelf, with access to enough cabling to put the controller anywhere, even in the center console. I hope you found this helpful! I am assuming that you'll need a separate harness for the trailer, the motor controller only controls the electric power on the trailer's brakes (if it has brakes) in accordance with For my 2010 Nissan Frontier, I simply plugged the brake controller harness directly into the truck under the steering column (with the brake controller harness, there is no need to splice on the A separate 7-pin connector harness from Nissan was purchased in order to control the trailer lights so I could plug it into the factory harness under the truck under the rear drivers side tire. (They have dummy plugs on the ends so the connector would be protected.) In addition, there were a few relays that went under the interior kick panel on the passenger side (the pathfinder may have different relays). During the Tekonsha P3 brake controller installation on our Nissan NV3500 SL, it included its own wiring harness for a straightforward plug-and-play installation. Two mounting brackets are included with the controller, one for quick disconnect mounting and one for traditional mounting. There are multiple reset options for tow vehicles and trailers with the controller, which makes it a great device. There will not be a need to switch this from vehicle to vehicle, but it would be very simple to do that and save your presets for each vehicle. A couple of cable ties were used to secure the wires in place. The factory wiring harness was located above the emergency brake pedal and could simply be identified and connected.
This brake controller is, by far, the best I've ever used. I've used numerous different brake controllers over my many, many years as a driver. Last fall, I bought a new tandem axle dump trailer for work, and since the extra tare weight and capacity of the new trailer called for some upgrades to the old trailer. The Nissan in my possession is prewired for controllers, so I thought this would be an easy and necessary upgrade to make. I was amazed at how easy it was. There was an OEM harness adapter in the box. In total, the installation takes about ten It takes less than five minutes to setup (excellent instructions book). The setup of the power for the unloaded TRAILER 1 (unloaded) took approximately 30 minutes. The power level was likewise adjusted for the loaded TRAILER 2, which took approximately the same amount of time. There have been occasions when I have hauled broken concrete pushing me above the GVW (5500 pounds trailer and payload) so I have bought a third trailer. (You can have up to 6 trailers) This is for all the most I used to rent a dump trailer without brakes, so this controller really opened my eyes to the dangers of such an inadequate brake setup. I mean, it's easy to install, you get clear instructions, you can configure multiple trailers, and you get a nice smooth braking response.

The Tejonsha P3 brake controller was selected after doing our research on the different types available on the market. In order to tow a 36 foot travel trailer, I needed to know that my 6500-pound truck would be able to tow it. If my truck don't hit the trailer, it would come to a stop without causing me to lose control. It is imperative to have a display screen that shows if your trailer is connected as well as a wiring harness. When we came home from our last camping trip, I plugged in the wiring harness only to see some debris in the terminals. It was a pleasant surprise to find that there was some debris in the terminals as well. When I glanced at the brake controller, I saw that the "trailer isn't connected. " message was displayed. My purchase was heavily influenced by this criterion.
It was easy to plug and play and I find that very convenient. There should have been an indication provided in the seller's description that this unit was packaged with two different bracket types. Both bracket styles are available simultaneously, so there is no need to order.
I installed it in my Nissan Titan without any problems. Finding the prewired Nissan connection was the most difficult part. In order to find it, it was necessary to remove the plastic under the steering wheel. I was up and running in no time. The software is easy to use and program as well.
It is a good product. I have been using this product for a few years now and do not have any issues. There are times when it is a little hard to read the display, but it is not a big deal because you can usually set it up.
