I purchased the Prodigy P2 after seeing how well it performed in my previous vehicle. I discovered the unit had been ripped open when it arrived. I gave it a low rating because I had to buy my own installation hardware after paying $110 for the unit, and I discovered it was missing installation screws and there were miscellaneous empty plastic bags inside. No one checked the box before sending it out for the next order, so it was clearly a returned item.
This brake controller does a fantastic job. It's simple to tow a 5000-pound RV trailer and adjust the braking parameters. There are three main settings, as well as the ability to fine tune the brakes to the proper amount of pressure. It's easier to see with LEDs, and adjusting settings while braking is also a good idea. br>br>There is a new model P3, but after reading the reviews, I decided to go with the previous model because it has been tried and true. Every now and then The bugs in newer models must be ironed out.
The truck had been prepared ahead of time Towing package is wired in from the factory. It was just a matter of finding the pigtail under the dash and figuring out the wiring. The installation video that I found on the internet was extremely helpful. I've used it to tow two different trailers so far. It's simply a matter of adjusting the trailer braking power based on the weight being towed.
My 2017 Chevrolet Suburban had an easy plug-and-play installation. It's fantastic!.
I had to replace a CURTIS that had quickly failed. I saw all of the positive reviews and decided to buy it, and I'm glad I did. It does what it's supposed to do. br>br>I really like the display that shows when it's plugged in that it's connected to the trailer brakes! This is fantastic because I had a lot of problems with my vehicle's plug. It is not necessary to drive it to ensure that the brakes are in working order.
well done. I made the mistake of attempting to save money on a brake controller only to discover that I needed to purchase this one as well. This is a fantastic piece. Brakes are smooth and easy to set up and adjust, and they work flawlessly on my 30' 6,600-pound travel trailer.
I've had these in several trucks and have never had an issue with them.
It worked well with our 2020 Toyota Tacoma and our trailer, and I purchased the pigtail adapter for it from an online RV trailer site by typing in my car's make and model. I couldn't find a good spot for it on the Toyota, so I put it in the large center console coin box. Area for collecting objects. Although I wish there was a better location, it serves its purpose.
