The small size of this tool is as good as the larger ones, but it can only be used for a few tasks, such as hooking two synthetic ropes together. On the inside, it measures only 2. 25 inches from SIDE TO SIDE. There are 5 inches between the brackets. This would have been a 1 if Bubba had gotten it. We have a 4 inch gator that is 4 inches longer and would work well for ATVs and Taking the extra effort and spending the extra money to order the big one will save you a lot of time and hassle.
It's much more convenient than carrying heavy shackles around! While they are expensive, I have used them with success and watched others use them to great effect in all types of off-roading It can be used in road winching situations, where it is just as good, if not better, than its clunky metal counterpart. You can reduce the weight and size of your pack by reducing the volume and size of your gear Compared to other options, they are the perfect choice, since there is no performance loss. The one thing I wish was different is that they were a bit less expensive.
This set of shackles is an excellent option for my side by side. It's easy to store, and they are affordable. So far, I haven't had a chance to use them to recover my SxS when I do, I'll share my experience. I bought these to prevent getting stuck, but haven't had any problems since. So, in this sense, they're very lucky to have me on board. If I ever get stuck and have to call them for recovery, I'll This version is up to date as of Having updated my review to five stars, I am now rating it five In the past, I have used these shackles and I found them to be easier to use than metal shackles, they are lightweight and easy to store, they did not break, and no one was hurt. I recommend it!.
For my RZR, I use a winch rated at 4500 pounds. They are still not in need of use for me (yet), but I am certain they will work wonderfully. There is a HUGE bonus for you! Comparable to a normal clevis, it is light weight. Adding this to my recovery bag is a great idea.
What a great idea! The company has been using them for a long time.
I love these things. They work well. Get on with it quickly so I don't have to deal with heavy d-ring shackles on my Ranger anymore. When you're covered in mud, it's a lot easier to slip on. There is nothing to get rid of in the threads.
I was able to get rid of heavy, bulky steel shackles and they worked like a charm! A ratchet of this length will also fit a larger range of straps than one of smaller diameter. The price is a bit higher than you would expect, but the benefits are more than worth it.
