Product Description

A power source that runs on 12 volts is required for the 5-wire remote, making it more efficient

Included in this kit is a 5-wire remote socket and wiring harness (the remote is sold separately).

The WARN truck winch implements a 5-wire harness and 4 solenoids (both in line and square configurations) designed specifically for the WARN truck winches.

These items are incompatible with each other Five CTI (use the WARN PN 86688) and Nine. The five and nine are together. The number 5si and 16 is used. This is the right WARN PN for 5TI (64639)

When I called WARN customer support, they provided me with this part number for my 2001 9500i winch (it fit perfectly) It is best to call the manufacturer if you want to learn more about the model you have, as their web site was lacking that kind of information.

How does this work on a Vr8000 with a warn 86245 controller?

If I were you, I would go to Google warn or give them the socket kit number, just to be sure!

The 5 pin harness needs to be replaced

There is a fit for a Warn 9 in this item. If you would like to use a 5ti, it needs to be trimmed to fit. Even though it isn't an easy installation, I was able to do it following the wiring diagram and consulting with a tech. It is no longer possible to purchase the original part. However, there are some hassles involved in using this method. It would be recommended.

My M8000 had a damaged plug due to road salt damage, so I used it to replace it. I found the installation instructions to be easy enough to follow. All that was necessary was to drill out the rivets that held the original plug together. A new version of Winch is now available!.
