I have a 9500# smitty and the plug fits perfectly. Only thing I would suggest is that you upload a picture of the plug end so there is no question about it.
I use this for my Smittybuilt winch and it works perfectly.
I was looking for an exact replacement for my xtr9500 winch, and this one works perfectly. The only complaint I have is the price 50 bucks to replace the controller on a 300 dollar winch seems a bit steep.
With the winch with a wireless controller, I lost it after the first use. I bought this wired version and it still works, so I am off to a good start. Having the magnet built in also makes it easier to secure to a metal bumper when traveling. By putting a magnet on it, it will remain connected to the vehicle even if you leave it running.
As soon as it arrived, I plugged it in. The original didn't come with my Jeep as it came with the winch, but I didn't get a There is no difference between this and the original on the Smittybuilt website. Get this one if you are in doubt whether it will fit the Gen 2 or not.
Great replacement for the original. In any case, I don't need that fancy wireless stuff. There was no programming required for this remote and its length was adequate. This turned out great and I am very happy with it.
In winching, I was not paying attention to the cable in order to avoid getting it tangled. There was a reveal of wires. Considering the price of the replacement, I was pleasantly surprised. I like the way it works.
I bought this remote as a replacement for the remote that came with my model winch, and yet it turns out it does not fit my model.
