Since it is the locking mechanism that locks it into the housing, the hook goes toward the metal. As you can see, it's exactly the opposite of what you were expecting, but don't worry, if you mess up you can use a little screw driver or whatever to depress the metal locking button and remove the pin to to reinsert the opposite direction. One or two of them were done backward by mistake when I was doing several at once on a multiple battery unit, but you can do that by depressing tab and pulling them all There must be a metal tab to catch the hook on. Trying to do it the way you were thinking will not lock the pins into place and they will slide out every time they are disconnected, and because the lock is meant to grab the tab on the housing, you would never be able to escape if the locking ends get locked inside the housing. It is not worth my time to try and find out, because I am unsure.

The trolling motor was a breeze to use. Despite its size and weight, it is sturdy and large. Besides soldering the wires, I crimped them as well. It was smaller connectors that I was considering.
As a new user of these products, I am not familiar with these products, though they appear simple. I'm being kept from snapping into place by the spring retainer that is too far forward. It's hard for me to believe they're supposed to act this way. On the back side, some of the pins are also marked "6". I think I might have mixed up contacts that came with the red vs. the black vs. the white. 'ness') and it doesn't seem to matter which ones I try in the red housings, they still don't fit right. Though I mixed them up, I did confirm that one brand new bag has both '6' and 'not 6' so I think they are meant to be interchangeable, but they are not made on the same tooling. Different factors affect how well the fit is. Unlike the red, I think the gray retainers are positioned further back in the housing and seem to be able to hold the pins with a nice solid snap. When I am able to find out whether I have made any errors or not, I will test a couple of pin combinations to the housing color and update this one.
Update The red housing does not even work with either type of contact.
Yes, I confirmed both types of contacts do not work. It would be best for me if I stayed It appears that the gray is capable of taking both contacts with no problem, but I would never purchase It may be that I'll toss some of the gray ones and some of the red ones I bought after all. The contacts could be out of alignment when the plugs are connected, for all I know. Ignoring gray even when it is present. The authentic brand name would probably be the best choice. -( This is a lesson I've learned again.
I'm not sure what stretching has to do with it. This device was purchased for use on our 08 T Sequoia while towing an RV, in order to ensure that the battery was charged. A 7 way body plug from the factory is not set up for charging from a Thirty and a half minutes to spare Using a blade fuse holder on 10 gauge wire for the 40 amp fuse. Besides the length of the run I will use a red/black wire zip on 12 gauge. A battery pigtail is ready to be installed, but its connectors are not yet together.
There is no comparison between this pile of garbage and any other. In most cases, they do not make contact. Even when they do at first, they won't be in contact Sadly, I have this set to my winch in a position that is quite awkward. To remove it and take it off, I will have to take off the entire bumper. To use the winch I need to apply pressure to the connector and hold my hand on it in order to get the terminals connected. There was no real point to this purchase, and it was a waste of time and money.
I used them for the same reason as the others. They are the same ratings and shape, but they are not the same size. In the end, nothing went horribly wrong. Despite the absence of instructions, it's simple to put together. You can do it even if you're a kid. Please accept my apology to those who broke them or gave a bad rating on them simply because they could not install them or even understand how to assemble them. It's not your business to try to complete the task and then give a bad rating for your inability to complete it.

The wireless remote winch I have on my Honda ATV was installed. So that the wireless winch controller does not drain the battery when it is not in use, I was looking for a way to disconnect the winch from the battery when it is not in use. I found these to be very useful. A current draw of the winch will not be a problem for them. This type of device is heavy duty and can be plugged and unplugged easily. As well as the dust covers, they are nice.
This is awful. You will not be able to connect these and keep them connected. There must be a zip-lock bag This product requires cables to be tied together. . . and even then, the metal connectors do not always make contact. Cables even 'back out' of the connector, and they literally fall apart.
Do not buy this item.
