Yes, you could probably do that, but you would need to secure the 12 ga wire, which would result in a lot of slop in the feedthroughs. Of course, the connections would have to be soldered

You can find them from a wide range of sources. Only a costly crimping tool is required, which has been described as a drawback. For about $30, I found one with decent ratings. Once your cables are made, you are left with a paperweight since the cable is designed to serve only one purpose.

Be sure to have a crimping tool that is capable of handling This is for me to have an easy and quick way to disconnect my trolling motor from my battery box without having to use vice grips or a wrench

In order to replace the unhandy clips on his motorized scooter, the husband got these connectors. It is just so much nicer to use these connectors. A second purchase would be a good idea.

I use these to replace items for my cigarette lighter that draw more than The connector can be mounted flush to the surface, and the mating connector can then be inserted as needed. The connection is secure, rigid and will not slip or wiggle as a result of vibrations, pulling or wriggling. I highly recommend this.
