Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with a Zeon 12-volt battery?

I have the tens, and they should fit if the dimensions are the same. The cover's only flaw is that it will not fit unless the rope is wound perfectly.

Is this compatible with a Warn 12s platinum winch?

Yes, it will happen. The 8,10, and 12 have the same dimensions.

Is this compatible with the Zeon 10?

Yes, it's on my zeon 10-inch tablet. Look for my review that includes a photo of the s (synthetic cable). It's designed to be a tight fit, so I had to use a piece of wood to press down on the corners to get them to snap into place. If it's a new winch, just make sure the cable is properly tensioned; otherwise, you might have trouble getting it on because the line around the spool is too slack.

Is this something that would work in a VR environment?

Only ZEON can use it.

It's perfect for my ten-year-old daughter
5/5

My synthetic rope is protected from the sun by S. This is what I put on my 2010 Tundra Expedition-equipped vehicle. One bumper for a winch. Because I wanted to keep the sun's UV rays off my expensive synthetic rope, I chose this one over the slotted version. The cover took a lot of force to snap into place (on the corners, I used a piece of wood for leverage against my bumper to press it in), but it's definitely secure, and normal and offroad driving won't "bump" it out of place. Although there isn't much room between the cover and the winch rope, it fit after I preloaded my winch line according to the instructions (yes, read your instruction manuals guys, especially with the dangers involved in winching). If the rope is not perfectly spooled, I can see scenarios where the cover is popped off by the rope.

Installing is a pain, and synthetic rope will not work
3/5

As a result, installing and snapping this thing into place was a pain. It continued to bend and would not return to its original shape. After that, if you have a synthetic line installed, it is no longer usable. I have a ten-year-old son. There's no room for the rope because it's too long. I'm not sure if that was mentioned in the description. If that's the case, I'm the one to blame.

In recessed bumpers, you can't get very far
3/5

You "could" put it in a recessed bumper, but rope maintenance would be a pain. In order to remove the winch from the bumper, you'd either have to snap the plastic out or pull it out in pieces. The tabs are flimsy and ineffective. br>br>On the outside of the winch, a better design would have been preferable.

This small piece of plastic should have come with my Warn winch, which cost $1,200
3/5

Because my winch is half-way into my bumper, the installation was difficult. However, it does its job in terms of UV protection for synthetic rope.

I'm giving this two stars because the concept is great, but I found this product useless from a practicality standpoint
3/5

I'm giving this two stars because the concept is great, but I found this product useless from a practicality standpoint. With the fairlead in place, fitting this cover on after my winch was installed was nearly impossible. There was simply not enough space to snap all four corners into place. To place or remove the cover, you need to get your fingers underneath it, which I couldn't do because of my setup. You might be able to make it work if your winch is set back further from the fairlead (mine is less than 1"). After a full 15 minutes of tinkering with it in every way I could think of, I finally gave up. It's now gathering dust on a garage shelf.

As others have stated, installing my is difficult
3/5

As others have stated, it is difficult to install. My 12k winch rope is properly installed and tensioned, but it has overfilled the drum. It doesn't work for me, but it might if the winch was more exposed. appears to be of high quality. If you can get it to work, keep in mind that it will only work on the front side.

It's a good product that works well
5/5

It provides excellent UV protection for synthetic line, but it is a little difficult to snap into place. It worked best for me if I snapped in the top first, then the bottom almost snapped in on its own. I'll probably do it when I'm using the winch to ensure the line is spooling properly, but it's fantastic when the winch isn't in use.

For us, it just about works
5/5

On our 2013 Rubicon, we have a Warn 87750 bumper installed. The Zeon winch is tucked away in the bumper. As a result, installing the cover is extremely difficult, and I'm unable to snap it in place at the bottom. I'm sure our winch would fit perfectly if it was mounted on top of the bumper! br>br>I believe it is an excellent purchase that will aid in the protection of the rope from the sun's UV rays.
