A small metal fastener is attached to the end of the rope that connects to the winch and can be screwed down to the winch roller. The only problem is that it doesn't come with a screw that fits. Polaris' screw has no cap, and it simply applies pressure to the steel wire, which is inserted into a small hole in the roller assembly. br>br>To fix this, remove the small metal piece at the end and secure the end with electrical tape. After that, you can slide it into the roller's hole and secure it with the original screw. It's just a matter of reeling it in after that. br>br> So far, the rope appears to be working perfectly. Time will tell how well it holds up, but I'd rather have nylon rope than hard steel cable!.
It's almost the end of the first winter plow season, and it's already fraying a little. However, I prefer it to the cable because it has a little give when pulled too far in.
It's similar to string, but it's not quite as thick. It's one of those synthetic materials that has been reimagined.
At Hollerwood, I had to chain my RZR to a tree from behind and use a snatch block with my 4500lb winch after this little rope pulled my buddy's Jeep out of a waist deep mud hole with a broken lower arm. br> I'm going to buy another to replace the cable on my other RZR, and I'm going to buy this one as long as we're out in the mud.
It's a lot better than the standard cable.
The original steel winch cable had to be replaced, so this was purchased to do so.
Those are some wise words, fellas. This is the one you should get, fellas. It contains all of the essential elements.
