It is simple to put together. The black is preferable to the bare steel in my opinion. Although it isn't powder coated, it is adequate.

There was only one of these

Only one of the two that were ordered was delivered. There was no information about the company, and no way to get in touch with them. I had no choice but to return it, but I didn't want to return the one I had already received, so I wasn't sure what to do. I guess I'll have to forego the $11. I like the hook, but I wish there was a name or number on it. anything.

What you pay for is exactly what you get

The first time I used the hook, I was removing some ground-grown fence. Hooked it and started pulling it came right out went to unhook it and the spring lip was all bent up and hanging have no idea why it was so torn up from a small tug other than it's just cheaply made oh well threw the hook on the guard rail so I could relocate and hook some more fence went to grab it and the keeper fell out alone along with the small pin that holds the hook to the cable Thank goodness I wasn't stuck in a mud hole in the middle of nowhere. It's 11 dollars for the product, so it's not a good deal.

The hook has a tough appearance

This is stylish and comes complete with a cotter pin. I think the threaded ones are preferable to the cotter pins, but I'm not complaining. I don't think it'll break because it's rated for a pretty high tolerance that's well above the weight of my machine.

Coated surfaces don't require any tools

I had a wench on my atv plow that rusted out and fell apart, 2day shipping took more like 16 hours. I ordered it at 8 p. m. on a Tuesday, took the kids to school on Wednesday morning, and it was waiting for me on the front porch when I returned home 20 minutes later. There was no need to put the atv on a lift or even open the tool box because this one just hooked right up. Bonus. Because it's coated, it'll last longer than the ATV. Another fantastic "Amazon's Choice" item!!.

It's not very sturdy, but it'll do the job

I would recommend it for light duty work rather than anything that requires heavy duty, so if you require light duty work, it is a good choice.

Is the hook powerful enough? This hook was purchased for my 2500 pound winch, which I use to pick up and drop my plow on my 2012 Kawasaki paraire quad

I'm just worried about whether it'll be powerful enough to complete the task. When the first snowflakes fall, we'll have a better idea.
