It is not possible to accurately rate the load
3/5

8,000 pounds on the product title suggests that the cable is capable of handling heavy loads. Although there is no weight displayed on the load when received, the PAIR alone should be rated for 8,000 lbs. A cable is not different from another. It is important for the buyer to be conscientious of what load rating he needs and not to be misled by poor documentation. These are being returned to me. As a result, the bolts at the ends are only rated for 2,200 pounds each (stamped).

There is an error in the Unfortunately, I purchased these links and as some other reviewers have also mentioned, they are stamped 2200 lbs
3/5

The description states the capacity is a little lower than the actual capacity. It would be best if these were taken.

My application could not handle this much text
3/5

The document is too long for my application, but the writing is well done. My chains (which were tight due to the hitch sticking out so far) dragged on these since they were the smallest ones I could find.

Among the must-have components for a Roadmaster tow bar, arms, and baseplates
5/5

As the cables reach both the towing vehicle and the Toad vehicle (vehicle in tow), they are considered complete. A quick link connects the Cables to the frame of the towing vehicle and to the brackets of the car needing to be Short cables connect to the long cables via quick links and the frame of the car being towed, then these two cables are connected together. Their ease of use makes them appealing.

Good enough for the job
4/5

It was noted that quite a few reviewers were complaining that the quick links were rated for 2,200 pounds. They are, but you cannot hang your trailer from a cliff by only using the quick links if you are going to dangle it from a cliff. In an emergency, they only need to catch and hold on to the tongue so you can safely pull over. The weight of two quick links at 2,200 pounds each is 4,400 pounds of tongue weight plus whatever the rolling friction is to pull the trailer. Even if something is rated for a trailer weight of 8000 pounds, it does not mean it will be able to handle the weight or force of an 8000 pound trailer.

A safety chain that is extended in length
4/5

These chains do what they are designed to do - provide safety chains for trailers over an extended area. Despite pulling the ring coupler out wide enough, the chain extension clevis would not fit where my chains attach to the hitch, so I had to buy a clevis-type link. This is a minor complaint, but they do seem a bit pricey. However, if you really need them, you'll buy them as well.

Quality that is second to none
5/5

There is more to these than "just" extensions you cannot attach your trailer safety chains to your truck receiver due to the hooks on the chains, these might work for you. The trucking industry uses these a lot because of the many different "sizing" issues. You will never regret having a set on hand.
