The hook does not have a WLL stamp

Since the WLL is not stamped on the hook, I am relying on industry standard ratings, which state that a Grade 70 steel 3/8" will only have about 2 tons of WLL although the MBS is much higher. If you need to use Grade 70 gear, please use it carefully. When towing and rigging gear, I prefer a weight rating which is at least equal to, if not twice, the weight of the object being towed Instead of this hook, I went to the store and bought.

A 20 foot heavy duty 3/8 inch grade 70 chain can be in very useful by having a grab hook on one end and a slip hook on the other

This chain is sturdy and very affordable. It is a great idea that the hook is connected to the chain with a pin and cotter pin. This item makes me very happy, and I would not be more pleased with it if I tried. My satisfaction with this hook is 100% and I highly recommend it.

A tractor hitch would be perfect for this! For my Farmall Cub I went with this instead of a bar hitch because I didn't want to spend two hundred dollars on one, so I attached it to a steel bar with half-inch boltholes Even though it's mounted higher than for pulling a plow, the plow lifter is still very effective at pulling and recovering any equipment that gets stuck in water
