Questions & Answers

Is there any damage to the rims from these?

The attachments are either for the bed of the pickup or for the The wheels do not have any attachments to the tires. It is impossible to break the straps since they are so robust. Be sure to secure them with a strong tie down. The tires go around the rims, not the rims go around the tires.

Would you be able to tie the forward and rear ties or just the side of your tie straight down?

Tie the front as well as the back. It is still recommended that you tie down the sides. If you tie down at other angles, make sure the straps are firmly attached and will not slip off during transport.

It is important from how far the wheels are from the side of the trailer that this distance is measured?

As the LASSO strap is fully adjustable, it is able to secure tires of any size.

Could I just loop these around the frame and not the tires, since I'm hauling a Honda side by side?

Wouldn't it be great to be able to, The tires of these chains are designed to be rolled over, which is my opinion the best and safest way to tie down a vehicle. In this case, the Honda SXS is a heavy machine. Put these over the tires and you don't get anything.

In my experience, just like many of you, when I stop for gas I make sure the straps are tight
5/5

When shopping for a product or service, I pay a lot of attention to customer reviews. I must have visited these straps three times to evaluate them. Throughout my research, I came across the word "four" four times. This set of straps is intended to be used to haul a dune buggy with a very wide rear tire and a very narrow front tire. I purchased them a few days before picking up the new sand rail from a location where I picked them up. There was no back up strap so I took a huge risk that I would be able to use these. This strap did a great job holding the tires in place on the trailer for the entire distance of 1,000 miles I pulled the dune buggy with them. I check the straps tightness when I stop for gas, as many of you do, and there were no adjustments to be made. With these straps, I was very pleased with the experience and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone who doesn't want to deal with hassles and does not want to worry about the A strap of this quality is well worth the money. I would buy from this seller again if I needed it. I thoroughly enjoyed the product. Emails keep you informed along the way, as well as fast shipping.

The product is well made and easy to operate
5/5

The trailer I purchased was to help me cross-country tow my car. I was impressed by the appearance and the ease of use at first. My car was securely locked without any issues. Upon completion of my journey, I will provide an update. Announcing an update Quite a late update, but here it is. As someone who has driven cross country from California, I can confidently State that these straps are fantastic. My checks were conducted at every gas station, every time I stopped for food, etc. There was only ever a slow leak in the tires of the car I used to tow that could cause them to seem loose. The other than that, the band was amazing! The car was rock solid on the trailer, and it never came loose. As far as the sleeves that prevent the strap from being damaged by vibration, they did an excellent job, although I think I could do with using another one. Although there were vibration sleeves on the straps, none of them came into contact with the skin. There is a lot of power and ease of use in the hardware. Even then, the only thing that was a hassle was getting the ratchet handle to lock in the closed position on one handle when the car was first Except for that, I have not encountered any issues. There were multiple people at gas stations who asked me where I got the straps, they were nationwide. The straps worked exactly as advertised and did not slip, unlike wrapping them around the tire. Instead of wrapping them around the tire, I ran the straps through the wheel itself since my trailer does not have tie down points on the outside edge (I have front and back). In seeing a car being hauled in the same manner, I asked the tow truck driver about an alternate method for using these straps, and he said it was a good idea. These straps have a lot of versatility as well, I think even as axle straps I believe. Nevertheless, check with a person who knows how to haul before you attempt to use them in any way besides what the manufacturer suggests.

I can keep my ATV safely in this case
5/5

Due to the dirt road I was driving on, I used this product to secure the back wheels of my ATV in my pickup truck bed This product has held up well it has not loosened up This product has substantially larger straps than the ones I had on my ATV and around the trailer hitch, yet I still had tie downs through the front loop under the ATV and around the trailer hitch Fraying has occurred on a few of my small straps The straps will not fray, so you can trust me.

A 150-MILE ROAD TRIP
3/5

I set up my car behind my motorhome on a 20' car hauler as shown in the picture. During the first 20 miles of moderate roads, everything was fine. In 130 miles, after some moderate roads and some sections of concrete that caused a bounce in the trailer and on the car's secured side, it was flagged down by a passing motorist. Three straps had come loose, causing the car to rub up against the A change of configuration was made by looping through the wheel and around the tires to tie down opposite sides. I don't have to worry about 1850 miles anymore.

No matter what I haul, it works great for me
5/5

As I ferry pickup trucks from one place to another, I have to deal with varying tire sizes due to the age range of the vehicles. Adding these tie downs to my regular tie down straps allows me to carry a full size crew cab or a regular cab compact. I feel my load will not move once I add these to my regular tie down straps.

I think these are okay
4/5

When I used them for the first time, they were very good. I think these are okay. On my PJ trailer, I used them first to tow a 70 El Camino home. For them to be positioned correctly, I had to go through a learning curve. The 45 miles back home to my house never moved once my family was in tight quarters. The next time you position them, try something different.

Straps look great, but size is too short for my dirt track car
3/5

I bought them for transporting my compact dirt track. As good as these straps are, they're very short, so once you wrap the strap around the tire you may have 5 feet of strap left.

It is finally time to make the correct tie down system for an These tie downs hold the trailer firm when I'm driving down rough roads and allow the SxS to use its own suspension to absorb some of the rough roads
5/5

Heavy duty ratchets are used and D-rated ratchets were used All rings on the trailer have been placed in the perfect locations. The quality of the product is excellent.
