I bought this plate adapter for my Harbor Freight 1 to work on a Vortec 350 from the 1990s. I modified a 5 ton stand by adding a gearbox to allow it to rotate. I had issues with the original arms not bolting flush to the block, causing the engine to shift and drop a couple inches every time I rotated it! I made the decision that I wasn't going to risk ruining my block! And it's amazing how much of a difference it makes. The block is not only level and attractive, but it also has a lot of potential. I can rotate the block at any angle without shifting the load because it is flush with the stand! The extra support provided by using all of the bell housing bolt holes also makes me feel more confident about hammering the pistons back in and reinstalling the heads and accessories. br>br>I also have to say something about the fantastic seller! It was a Thursday, and the shipping company had marked the package as delivered, but it had never been received. Certain that it was not stolen, I contacted the seller, who wasted no time in sending me another one the next day, just in case! The original did arrive the following day, Friday, but I was very impressed with how well I was treated in order to ensure that I would have the plate for the weekend. I simply followed the seller's instructions and returned the extra. Thank you for your business! br>br>Would do business with you again!.
It's incredible how I came across this product and was completely blown away! The next day, I got a brand new engine stand, and this plate is all set to go. How could I have missed something so brilliant, perfect in every way, and at such a low price? I can't wait to get started once I've gotten everything set up. Then I'll finish filling in the blanks with more details. ICT Company is deserving of all praise for their dedication and excellent products!.
I'm very disappointed with it. 3L LS1 to my 2 ton engine stand from Harbor Freight in Pittsburgh, which had several issues and didn't fit. I'm almost certain I'll send it back. On the stand side, the bolts are Grade 5, and they were too short to fit through the mounting plate. The nuts threaded only a half turn, maybe two, and the pattern didn't line up at all. I could only get two of the four bolts in at the most. Based on all of the positive reviews I read here, this was a huge disappointment. Buyer beware if you don't know what's going on.
It has a very secure mounting system and is easy to assemble. This company is a fantastic place to do business with, and it is manufactured in the United States.
It came well packaged and was simple to assemble. Works great with the Harbor Freight engine stand, and it's a simple process to mount an LS engine to it.
It was a breeze to secure my LM7 long block to my engine stand and keep the flywheel attached so I could work on it while rotating the engine. It also has a very nice appearance.
I was a little worried about the sturdiness and fitment for the duramax motor, but I'm very happy with it, and it bolted right up to the duramax even with the flywheel attached.
