In a nutshell I just bought my first weight distributing hitch, and I'm in love with In order to go with my 2017 F150 II, I bought a 32ft travel trailer. It is equipped with a 3. 7L V6, and it is capable of towing. It was very helpful to have the installation videos in the app as well as the detailed instructions. The instructions on how to install it were very clear. I took about an hour for the first time to install the device.
My only concern was that the spring arm bars are very stiff. It took me an extremely long time to get them open. This was so confusing to me that I believed something was wrong. Basically, I'm at an RV dealer getting ready to bring home my new camper and trying to find an online fix for how to hook it In fact, right there on the WeighSafe site was a live help chat box, so I gave that a try (for whatever reason, nobody seems to reply to anything these days). When the chat box asked me for my cell number and comment, I gave my number I immediately received a text message from a technician asking me to send a short When I mentioned this to the doctor, he assured me that this was normal, and I just had to put more effort into getting I'd give customer service five stars, but it was extremely hard to move the spring arms. I nearly threw out my back standing on the ground with my hands pulling on one bar and my feet pushing the other. Apparently, the bars need to be stiff (to prevent sway, of course) - I read in the instructions that the bars should be stiff. However, I didn't expect it to be so As a result, I am writing this to share the information with others who may have the same issue. Do your best to prevent a hernia, and try to push yourself harder. All the rest was a piece of cake once I got through that part. When you're towing around corners, there's a fair amount of loud popping, but I'm explained this is normal as well (and it seems to be safe). As this was my first time using a WDH, I wasn't sure exactly how to use it. My favorite feature of this site is the technology used, as well as the fact that it's made in the USA and the customer service. This is a highly recommended option. In addition, I am writing this under the account of my wife, since we share an Amazon Prime When I was 5, I was five years old The bar is so damn heavy that just thinking about having to pull it apart and then push it back together makes me sweat like crazy. I'm 9 and 160 pounds, and I'm pretty strong for my size.
In my new journey with towing, I recently bought a MAXX-type vehicle A Dropper- For my 2021 Chevrolet Silverado RST, I need a load trailer (3750lbs). When it is leveled, the trailer has a tongue weight of 750 pounds. Yes, my truck was quite low with its headlights poking out in the air. When I added my track car to the trailer, it weighed 7250 lbs and had a tongue weight of 800 lbs. That's not too shabby at all. Although they say it takes 20 to 30 minutes, I still think that might be a little high I set it up within 40 minutes, but it took me almost 2 hours to straighten it In my opinion it does not do too badly considering that I only had a very limited understanding of how to go about using With little squat, the tongue weight was 1700 lbs. That freaked me out. It was only afterwards that I realized the tongue weight had actually not changed, just been distributed more evenly. It is genius to have such a large ball. The ability to adjust The Weigh Safe application and their towing services are good in general. When you are trying to distribute weight, it's better to use the application rather than reading The measurements I would take, however, would be noted. Grabbing my hitch after a bump no longer feels like it will cause the ground to collide with it, and my truck has significantly less squat than it used to have.
I have used several hitches in my life, but this one is easily the best! A $900 bill sounded a little too good to be true. It cost $100 for a hitch, but I figured I would give it a shot due to the good reviews. You can easily set up with the directions on paper and in the app. Until recently I had an equalizer hitch for our travel trailer that worked fine, but the key selling point for me was always knowing how much tongue weight to expect. As soon as you have the hitch set up, get your tongue weight and your measurements, and you're You can be confident there is an even distribution of the load. It took a lot of effort to move the sway bars the first time installing the hitch, but they are breaking in nicely now. Despite big trucks and rough conditions, the trailer tracks highly and, even when turning, plenty of feedback is still received via the steering wheel even though the truck remains straight as an arrow behind me.
First one I've used. Easy to install and easy to adjust. It was shipped very well and it helped a great deal with the gauge and adjustment features. The 31 foot bunk house trailer fits nicely in my 31 foot trailer.
The downside is that it's expensive. The upside? Best hitch I've ever had. I love how easy it is to set up, as well as how versatile it is for my different trailers and load configurations. Easy to use, the phone app makes setting the right weight for the hitch a breeze. The app stores the settings for my two different enclosed trailers that have different loads, and I tow both of them with the same settings. It's icing on the cake that I got extra 6 inches of offset on my cabover camper. When it comes to this one we have to believe that you get what you pay for.
Although this weight distribution hitch is rather pricey, I believe it is well worth the money. It is easy to install and the sway arms are tightly fitted. I was able to pull my 10500lb camper easily down the highway with little to no sway. I am very pleased with this.
The first time we camped with a travel trailer was last year. My husband had to spend a few minutes getting it set up He did not receive any support over the phone, but the company over chat was very helpful. It is very heavy duty and looks like it will last a long time. Highly recommended.
