My recommendation for this equipment is strong. The set that I used to have was This is 100 times better than the previous set up that used bars with chains. With a camper that is 23 feet long and 4,500 pounds, I pull a truck. It has been empty except for the Chevy Colorado. The Chevy Colorado is rated for 7,000 pounds. The towing capacity is the number of tons. I used to have to drive white knuckles the whole time since I could feel a lot of sway with the old unit. With the Husky Center Line TS I was able to drive at highway speeds and the camper rode well. It was a lot more comfortable and assured that we were safe since I felt no sway. In both cases, I did a fairly sharp U It was no problem turning in a 180° turn or backing up to a 90° turn with no problems with binding or interfering with the turn.
With the purchase of my new travel trailer, I also had to replace my weight distributor and sway controller. The Husky Center Line TS is an all-in-one solution that works extremely well in comparison to my old unit, which had separate components for distribution and sway control. The installation wasn't quick, but the instructions were easy to follow, and I was able to get everything done right the first time. This unit controls sway a whole lot better than my old equipment, and I'm glad I didn't transfer it to my new I highly recommend this product. It is of excellent quality, easy to use, and easy to hook. I'm very happy with the way it turns and, unlike my old distributor, it is very quiet as well. It was just over $300, making it the most affordable of all. With a price of just $00, it's one of the best value solutions on the market, but performs just as well as its much more expensive.
As a result, my SUV has higher rear end thanks to the weight being equally distributed in the rear end, and the handling has been improved. While I do not have a particularly heavy hitch weight of only 400 pounds loaded, the rear-end dropped off Raise both ends of the frame 2" and the front-sides of the frame 5 " It takes a lot more effort to drive over bumps and potholes with the Husky WDH installed on my SUV. Despite being able to control it with just a sway bar, the Husky WDH made all of the difference when going over bumps. This 100 lb brute surprises me because I believed it would make things worse by adding weight to the hitch but I found that even distributing the weight was more important than I thought. I found the adjusting and installing the product relatively easy if you follow the instructions to the letter. This is a really well-designed product that is built very well. My only regret is that I should have bought it in the first place, instead of spending more money on a hitch and sway setup that did not really resolve the issue. As I need almost 6-inches of drop, the adjustable shank fits quite a range of drop or rise and I did not have to spend an extra $100 on a special shank to make it work.
My wife and I bought this towing hitch to pull a 28ft travel trailer weighing 5500 pounds. Towing it behind my 17-half-ton Chevrolet Silverado will take care of our camping needs. Having used it for two months, it has performed well so far. It levels the truck and does provide some anti-swaying. A semi will pass a trailer and it will dance for a moment, but it will immediately stop. A big problem for me is the finish on the hitch. This spring bar is already showing signs of rust and finishing flaking, especially in the areas that you used to pry the spring bar free. Keeping in mind that this hitch is only a few months old and has only been pulled five My guess is that it will be even worse by the end of this camping season. It is likely that I will replace the hitch with another similar one depending on the final outcome.
Although the hitch and materials are top-notch, the bars are very hard to connect and disconnect. Husky provides a multi-position mounting system that should solve this issue A tool lever can be used to pry the bars into and out of the bar locators (L brackets), but that is truly a task for the stronger. I really like the hitch. It performs well and there is no noise, squeaks, etc. I have had the trailer pushed around by passing semi trucks, but this is not an issue with the other WDH. This is a great product, although the process of connecting and disconnecting can be confusing.
Initial delivery of the wrong bars was made by the seller, but the correct ones were promptly sent. Well done on that, that was awesome. A few days ago, I went to take off the bars and found one of the hangers that support the bars had broken, which was a surprise to me. Only a few applications, I believe we used 2000 to 3000 There are 3000 miles in it. Even though the hanger appears to be in very good condition, when it was bent to ninety degrees, the metal may have been too cold and resulted in a cold bend, which in this case would have caused the metal to weaken significantly. In the pictures, you can see how dull the material was when the unit was being manufactured, and there is a line left My biggest disappointment was when I had to call the local support team here in Reno to get local support, the representative replied that I had to get the entire The outcome was not what I wanted and I am not expecting it in the end, but being frustrated, I welded up the unit and called I'd say I'm disappointed with its quality, however, this sort of thing find this Unitas system to be a great system in general and the sway factor has been significantly reduced.
I found installing this to be very easy. It is easy to follow the instructions. It is not hard to measure with It performed extremely well, and I couldn't be happier. Ensure that the weight is evenly distributed and sway is avoided during towing. The vehicle is a 2017 Nissan Titan with a Jayco X22n trailer.
But nowhere in the description on Amazon or on the Husky website does it say only 4", 5", 6", 7", 8" tall frames. As I installed it, I noticed that the bottom of the frame brackets were gaping and that the brackets bent, which makes it HUSKY's customer service informed me that my frame height was 4 3/8". After contacting them for three days, I feel like I am the only one experiencing this issue. During 4 emails, I was told I could use spacers. Am I right? It's almost four weeks until I go on vacation, but I leave in only It has been 3 days since I contacted customer service for a response, and the response is pretty much the same. You may be better off spending some extra money to get a company that stands behind their products with better customer service. Now I have a $300 paperweight, thanks Husky!.
