If you want to go there, that is something you should be able to do. Whenever you need to make a turn, make sure that you keep your eye on the vehicle to make sure it doesn't hit anything on There is no set ball size for trailers, but the size of the ball depends on the trailer and the thickness of the rope. One that is larger than 2 inches is necessary for mine, for example.
2" is the square size of the shank. The frame can be attached to a 3" wall.
If you have a full-size receiver hitch, I can assure you it will work. An equalizer with 1400 watts will not be required. It would probably be a good idea to use a 500# or even a 300#.
This picture is accurate in all respects.

Having to install the chained bars that connect the hitch to the camper every time can be a little challenging-- For a good connection, you'll have to turn the bar almost parallel with the bumper of the vehicle before you ram the bars into the hitch posts you'll need a bit of momentum to do that If, however, they are installed, they will remain. As a result, I feel a lot safer now that my weight is distributed more towards the front of the car A vehicle with all-wheel drive.
Our camper can use this. I bought it for that reason. There was no trouble assembling and installing the hitch, as it does what it should. There are no complaints to report and I would recommend it. However, it was the support from Camco/Eaz Lift that really caught my attention. A part of my package was missing and the package arrived damaged. It was not the hitch itself that was damaged, it was just the box, which was shredded into several pieces. There is no way UPS knew that leaving it at my house would be an inconvenience. So in any case, rather than waste countless dollars on shipping, I just called Camco and got a replacement instead. The fact that the product was sent from a supplier who should have been responsible for the damage made Camco very helpful, apologetic, and they overnighted me new parts.
That is a company I will use in the future.
Buying a new EAZ-R to replace my vintage 1980 My boat trailer has a lift unit like this one. With a few modifications, I found this one to be excellent. There is a new design for the 'Quick Hook-' on the newer model This is an 'Up' unit (the hinged part attached to the trailer tongue) that has an inferior adjustment range and a different footprint than the one I have. It is still the same one I am using. Applied to the Quick Hook-Up Wire Clip for attachment to the hook up wire It is not recommended to use Up' is closed on a regular basis. The hitch pins from the hardware store have been used in their place. It is cumbersome to adjust the huge 3/8 chain links because there is little room for fine adjustment. A galvanized high-test chain in size 5/16 was replaced by the original. A ball mount platform is different from the Quick Hook platform, so the Quick Hook cannot move backward or forward while mounted. On the tongue of the trailer, it is necessary to mount up' units.
Puts a 1 in. diameter scroll on it With a downgrade bushing, a 1/4 inch shank towball can now be towed with a 1 inch shank. It is okay to lengthen the cable by 3/4 inch.
It is nice, but I am upset that the price has dropped near $70 in the past month since I bought it. There is a feeling of being screwed over. I am tempted to return it to get a refund and buy another pair The price is lower when you order now.
What I Like It works well, is well made, and has heavy duty qualities. I don't like To install, you are required to purchase a large wrench (I love it), nuts and bolts require a strong back to firmly secure, and the instructions are unclear for some aspects of installation, while the manufacturer offers videos that don't provide much more help than instructions.
In a nutshell, ball mount and shank on this particular version (600 lb tongue weight) do not match up with the springs. Nevertheless, the hitch and springs are of high quality and are built to last. With spindles that have much greater weight ratings, this ball mount and shank is identical to the heavy duty equipment found on those springs. In addition to the ball mount, the shank is made of steel and weighs 40 pounds. Overall, the unit weighs 80 pounds with springs and all hardware. To have to handle all this weight every single time you hook up the trailer is not necessary. As a result, the spring system has to distribute a lot of extra tongue weight to the axles. By comparison, the tongue weight of a slightly lighter duty system (500 lbs) is considerably less than that of the above mentioned system.
My wife and I just purchased a new Hybrid (Shamrock 23ss) and need I found this to be very useful. I set up in less than 60 seconds and pulled my camper with no problem.
Once it was in the truck, I noticed it was misaligned and leaning to one side. I attached the bars to check and they confirmed what I was seeing. I then called Camco and they said the hitch on my newer truck was bad. At closing time, a supervisor answered the phone and told me to contact a guy first thing in the morning so that he could take the main ball mount from a carton and deliver it to me overnight. Although I was impressed, I needed to pick up the trailer on schedule, so I borrowed a hitch from a friend and gave Camco off the hook on overnight shipping and instructed them to just use the cheapest method. As of now, it has been three weeks since the part was supposed to arrive. I will have to follow up with someone who As long as this works out, I'll be able to give it a four or five star rating. I believe I'm not the only one who received a crooked hitch, and I suspect that somewhere in China the welders and QC department screwed up. It is possible that that is the reason why I have not received a replacement hitch. I am updating A customer called and said that yes, someone had dropped the ball, they apologized profusely, and they got the part on Saturday. However, when I look back I must give Camco credit for great customer service, as had I not let them off the hook, they would have shipped one out overnight. In addition, I was able to speak to a live person on both calls. The first call was after hours, and they addressed it immediately. As a result, I would now give them 3 stars as QC should have caught the problem from the get-go.
