Questions & Answers

The title refers to a 3-inch shank, but the description refers to a 2-inch shank. This shank is 5" long. Would you mind telling me which is the case?

A 3 inch receiver is required to accept a 3 inch shank on a very few trucks. There is a typo in that sentence. Two of my two 2500HDs have been upgraded. The receiver on this camera is 5 inches long.

A replacement friction cone is needed for this hitch, but how can I obtain it? It has taken me 16 months to get used to it and it is severely worn. ?

If you're pulling lots of weight, you may want to visit Andersons website and contact their customer service. I have not yet needed support, but I read reviews in which they provided customers with a different material that lasted longer.

Is it possible to buy a 2" ball too and use the same shank for the 2" and 2"?

I'm here. It would be okay to interchange them. I believe the 2" ball will fit just fine in the head assembly. If you have any questions, please let us know. "HitchRite" was invented

Could you please let me know what the shank size is. I assume it is not the receiver size?

In short, yes. You tell your truck the size of its shank by its receiver size. A 2 can be found on this one. To go into a 2 inch shank, the shank is 5 inches. The truck you have has a 5th receiver. One with a shank of 2 inches is also available.

There is no better hitch than this one
5/5

A distance of two thousand miles separates Illinois from I've been driving the same route twice a year as snow birds since 2014, but this is the first time I've not needed a death grip on the wheel as we drove across the panhandle area of Oklahoma and Texas as well as several areas in There are a lot of cross winds in this area. In our case, we pulled a 10,000-pound weight. An 11,500-pound tow vehicle pulls a travel trailer with a GVWR of 7,000 pounds. The maximum allowable vehicle weight is F A 2004 Ford 350 with four doors and four-wheel drive. The total length of our boat is 60 feet. Our Anderson hitch has a weight capacity of 14,000 lbs. I'm so glad you're here. In the beginning, setting up the equipment requires some time, about an hour, on flat terrain. It's very easy to follow the instructions because they're well written in English and well laid out. You can also watch videos on YouTube. The following tip may help you This is an- Take a hook and reword Try to keep trailer and truck in a straight line. Many many years ago, I used the Curt equalizing chain hitches and the original "Equalizer" bar hitches. This Anderson no sway hitch is far superior, and it costs the same or less as the original. There is no better hitch than this one.

It appears to work as intended
5/5

Rather than reviewing before actually using it, I wanted to use it first. A little time is required for the initial setup since you must set it up, use it, do naked adjustments, and finger time it. Once it has been set up, setting it up and using it is a breeze. It comes in a much lighter weight than comparable systems as well. I have now driven more than a few thousand miles on this hitch driving in some pretty bad weather and I have been very satisfied with its efficiency. This leveled out my time nicely and prevent sway to a large extent. The hitch I use is able to pull my 30' Layton toy hauler with a Harley in the back and all of our items to live comfortably for 6 months with no problems. I have updated. After a little more than 5 thousand miles on this hitch in some pretty bad weather, I can honestly say that it performs well and when not in use stores easily. It is amazing how well this hitch works.

It's after years of using a Super Heavy Reese system and the fact that both of my wives aren't into it
5/5

In order for us to receive our truck and trailer, it took about 4 days for the unit to reach Michigan. Then I checked the parts list and saw a mistake I had made regarding the shank size. I called Andersen and explained my error I subsequently ordered the correct part, returned the wrong part for credit, and my wife and I installed the hitch today in about 1 hour. I am in awe! The ride was so much more comfortable than the old Reese set up ever was and I was ready to try Mackinaw while the road test was in progress. If there were more stars to give at this point I would, I will let you know more after our first ride.

We provide a totally different type of towing experience
5/5

A Grand Design Imagine 2800BH travel trailer is in our possession. The weight of gear when traveling is approx. 7000 pounds. used a Ford F250 with no weight distribution hitch, and we had a lot of weight in the truck bed as we towed it from the dealer. I felt that the front of the truck was a bit 'floaty', even though the truck could handle it and the trailer didn't really sway. There was a constant back and forth motion in the steering wheel and it did not stay Feeling tense and as though I was constantly adjusting the truck, I felt like I was in a constant battle. Because we plan on traveling more often with the trailer now, we have a weight distribution hitch. We're able to tow almost anything behind our new Ram 2500 with the hitch installed. The truck squats about 2"-2. 5" when it is not fitted with a weight distribution hitch A trailer's rear is 2 1/2" deep under the weight of the load. The truck squats maybe 1/2" in the back when the WDH is installed. It feels like the truck is planted and solid right now, and I have total control over it. The truck tracks straight away even when the driver takes his hands off the wheel. A slight sway was not noticed. It is really noticeable how well the weight distribution hitch is performing. Simple to install, but be sure you have all of the necessary tools listed in the instruction manual before you begin. The cost was well worth it and I would buy the product again if the opportunity arose.

Making sure my hands are Having mine installed a couple weeks ago, I took the rig on a 300 mile trip
5/5

It took me along freeways, through cities, over rolling hills, and up I was able to replace the 10 year old Reese bar hitch with this one, and it worked phenomenally. I love how easy it is to hook up and I will not use any grease- There should be no grease - GREASE IS NOT AN ISSUE.

This is an excellent hitch
5/5

So far, so good. As far as the design and functionality go, the hitch is proving to be very good. It will only become clearer as time progresses and when we encounter specific conditions, but the first few miles seem to go well!.

Replacing equal value with another It's better than the old one, which is too heavy and complex to set up every time, because this one has a simpler design and it's In spite of the fact that it is refurbished, it comes with a new design and is very functional
