The Gooseneck is a type of tricycle. On an Andersen Ultimate hitch, pod 48850 is WAY TOO SHORT. With a thirteen-inch difference in full extension, the King Pin Stabilizer clearly stands tall enough. br>If you watch the videos of both, you'll notice a significant difference in how the instructor sets the legs. The Anderson adapter's height (red) is incorrect. The advertised height is incorrect; when set to maximum height, it provides very little to no stability.

I'm sorry, but that isn't an option on its own.

It works perfectly. If we had guests staying with us, my wife and I wouldn't be able to have sex in the RV. There is no more shaking since the stabilizer was installed.
I'll admit that I bought it based on a review written by a couple who can now have sex in their fifth wheel without their guests knowing. LOL. It does what it's supposed to do, but we might be a little more active because the trailer shakes a little during an aerobic workout! It provides much-needed stability, and the cost was reasonable.
So, like a lot of other people, I purchased the tripod because I don't want the entire rv park to know when the wifey and I are having an affair. It does, however, improve the stability of the fifth wheel. Now I'm considering becoming even more bizarre, just until we're asked to leave the park for violating family moral values or quiet time. Perhaps a swing.
We placed an order for this Eaz- I was tired of walking around and feeling like I had sea legs all of the time, and even with the back stabalizer jacks down, our 5th wheel still moved. This was extremely effective. Happy with our purchase; now our RV doesn't rock and roll! High quality materials and looked identical to the name brand but at a lower price; happy with our purchase; now our RV doesn't rock and roll! br>Measure from the ground up to your king pin to determine the required height. Sturdy legs, simple to adjust the coupler to the desired height, then tighten the chain through the legs once you've achieved the desired height and leg length.
This king pin has been with us for almost a month. I'm blown away. br>With a three-year-old and a six-month-old, we are full-timers in our 40-foot fifth wheel. We are currently residing in West Texas, where the wind can be quite strong at times, causing our fifth wheel to shake more than I would like, so I purchased this tripod in the hopes of resolving the problem. I can confidently state that it has proven to be extremely beneficial! Before I even realize it's blowing, the wind has to be gusting over 25 mph! Even then, the tremors are kept to a bare minimum! My toddlers also seem to be bouncing less! This is an item that I strongly advise you to purchase.
The tripod is very sturdy and well-made, and it's simple to put together, but it's not ideal for our needs. We have an Anderson Hitch, and you'll need a Plumbers Wrench or vise grips to turn the gooseneck in the tripod up the final inch or two into the Anderson Hitch. They use a metal rod that slides through a hole in their gooseneck screw, allowing you to turn the screw up into the hitch without the use of any tools. Unfortunately, the hole on the shaft is too high for the Anderson to work with, as the bar hits the Anderson's housing an inch or two below where the screw needs to be turned. It's not a big deal if you have a wrench handy for the final few turns. br> The other issue we had was that the tripod was too short for our fifth wheel, which is a Grand Design Reflection. We require a 12-foot tripod. To work properly, it needs to be 18 inches taller. Because necessity is the mother of invention, a few blocks under each leg works fine, but it looks a little shabby. Will most likely cover the entire conflagration with a shroud because it works and only requires some " McGivering"br> Delivery was quick.
I'm disappointed. It appears to have some impact on the swaying of the fifth wheel's front bedroom area, but not nearly as much as I had hoped. In south Texas, where I work the 12-hour day shift, we occasionally work as oilfield 24 hour gate guards for a few months. My wife is a night shift worker. As a result, one of us will enter. While one is sleeping, the other goes out to sign in trucks. Although we have a sound machine that covers the noise angle, I was looking for something to dampen the movement in the RV while the other person sleeps. It does make a difference, but not as much as I had hoped. I didn't think the cost was justified. When traveling, the hassle of trying to find a storage spot. In addition, if the king pin is parked fairly high off the ground, the tripod will not be able to spread out enough to create a stable force on the king pin. As a result, you'll need to carry three extra tall blocks to compensate. If you're going to be in one place for a long period of time (all winter or all summer), it might be worth the effort to set it up with the widest spread possible.
This is a must-have, and I adore it! Give us 90% more support. When someone is walking around in the coach, the master bedroom doesn’t feel like your in a water bed.
