I had no problems installing it on my 2021 Ford F350 Crew Cab Long Box. If you have a shorter box, you might want to look at the slider style hitch from B&W. I have the fifth wheel prep that was installed on the Ford production line. W, because they prevent the trailer from colliding with your rear window during sharp turns.
Yes. if you're using the Reese 30073 Elite Series underbed rail with pucks I just put one in my 2007 F250, and I'm using a BW OEM Companion RVK3300 from a 2013 F250 that a family member no longer drives. Everything is in order.
The RVK3305 is a 25-kilowatt generator.

Better than the Ford OEM hitch! Excellent OEM Hitch for Ford Superduty! Ford's 5th wheel hitch (made by a different manufacturer) and the high price from Ford did not impress me; in my opinion, the B&W B&W B&W B&W B&W B&W B&W B&W B&W B&W B&W B&W B&W B&W B&W Even though the base will always mount in the same OEM mounts, W has a cleaner appearance, appears to be more solidly built, and has plenty of adjustment in the pivot arms. The puck system was simple to adjust for proper fitment, and it locks securely and silently. When it comes to hooking up, the tilt and pivot are helpful. There is very little rattling because this hitch is mounted on heavy-duty synthetic pivot bearings. Pulling two safety pins separates the head from the base, making it much easier to exit the truck than one-by-one. designs in pieces Hand holes are located on the sides of the base, making it easier to handle. Bolt-in hitches have always been inconvenient for me, so I'm glad I purchased a Ford with integral hitch mounting and this sturdy, well-built hitch. constructed hitch Ford owners who have this system can also purchase a base that fits the gooseneck mounting socket in the bed as well as the 3300 5th wheel head. Follow up with: br>br> My new 5th wheel trailer and I have been using the hitch. It's simple to hook up, and it always locks in securely. It seems to float well over bumps in the road, and I've had no trouble removing the hitch for storage. B& W secures all of the pins with chains to prevent them from becoming dislodged, and even my wife has been able to properly couple the hitch on her own. br>NEXT STEP: After three years of use, the hitch is still in excellent condition, with no signs of corrosion or paint failure, and the plated parts are bright and clean. I do use a teflon lube plate on the trailer to reduce saddle wear and noise, and I appreciate the two-way hitch because I remove and reinstall it when I need the truck bed for hauling. It has a two-piece design that makes installing and removing it much easier for one person.
This is a great option if your truck has the puck system prep package and you need a good fifth wheel hitch. The construction is excellent, and the powder coat is stunning. It took me about two hours to unbox and install this on my F350 truck; I could have done it faster, but I didn't want to make any mistakes. The only disadvantage of this hitch is its weight. 150 Lbs. It does break down into two 75-pound pieces. It's a lot easier to get into the truck bed now that it's been divided into sections. If necessary, you can also remove it from the bed in less than five minutes. B& W hitches are made in the United States, which I value greatly.
Following the installation of L brackets and rails on three different trucks and the un-installation of the L brackets and rails, I put them on two trucks and then left the whole shebang in my last one. I'm never going to put rails in the back of my truck again. Pucks are the way to go, and this companion has to be the world's best-designed fifth-wheel hitch. Everything about it has been carefully considered for both safety and functionality. It's EASY to put on and take off, and it's light enough for most healthy guys. To make things even easier, the upper and lower sections can be easily separated. But what's the big deal? NO SLACK! This thing is safe, secure, and silent. During acceleration or braking, there will be no popping, banging, or jerking. br>Our 42' 5th wheel and I just returned from a 3000 mile round trip. This hitch is my absolute favorite.
I was able to save a lot of money by adjusting the height. The main advantage of this hitch is that it prevents my 41-foot raptor from colliding with my 95-gallon aux fuel tank. When I installed the fuel tank/tool box combo, I was certain that even the smallest turn would cause problems, but I can turn a full 90 degrees under my fifth wheel on very rough terrain (small boulders, don't ask how I got there) without hitting anything. This fifth wheel, set at 1/2 height, fits perfectly in the back of my F450 8' bed.
It was simple to install on my F350 puck system, and the 5er rides fairly level on the lowest setting. I also have a long bed, so it's positioned in the front. It's easy to hitch and unhitch, and it only takes a few seconds. My truck bed is covered by a flat cover that sits low enough for me to keep it covered with a few inches to spare. br>br>The reason for the one-star reduction is as follows: br>The product was damaged and without a part bag when it was delivered to me. One of the boxes had clearly been opened previously, with the entire part bag removed. One of the corners of the top plate was also bowed down for cosmetic reasons. Fortunately, I had some spare bolts on hand, so I was able to pick up my 5er on time, but that is simply unacceptable when purchasing something at this price. To make a long story short, they sent me the parts and paid me $75 for the damage, but I would not do business with the seller again. br>br>In conclusion, get this hitch, but look for a different place to buy it.
It's simple to put together and put in place. It performs admirably. So, after looking at all of the hitches available for my 2014 Ford F250, it seemed obvious that the B and W Companion for use with the Ford pucks was the best option. Everything was exactly as described on the B and W website, and it went on quickly and easily. Because it has its own base and hitch, it's easier to handle 75 pounds each, compared to 150 pounds for a standard hitch. With a 20,000-pound towing capacity, it leaves plenty of room for my truck's 15,900-pound fifth-wheel towing capacity. I took out our brand-new-to-us car. On the BandW, we traveled 2,800 miles in a 40' Cedar Creek CKTS from Florida to Montana. The latching and unlatching are both positive, visible, and secure. The ability to rotate on two axes made it possible to accommodate uneven roads in construction zones and a few oddly uneven campsites. The hitch is fantastic!.
With the factory pucks, the engine is rated at 350 horsepower. The unit is simple to put together. It's extremely simple to set up. It's great that it comes apart into two parts (the base and the head unit), making installation and removal a breeze. I'd backed up to my 42-foot fifth-wheel trailer. It was simple to hitch up the wheel and hitch it up. It's a dream to haul with this hitch. It's extremely peaceful and secure. Anyone who owns a factory puck system should get this!.
