She did not want the hitch to stick out too much when we installed it on her RDX. With the design of this hitch, the receiver opening is the only part that is visible behind the rear bodywork. She is very happy with this, as it is exactly what she wanted. One downside is that you may need an extender for this design, depending on what you plan to do with it. A bike rack extender would make it possible for us to utilize our bike rack.
The bracket fits perfectly, it took less than 20 minutes to assemble, and it is made in the USA with precision and quality (good paint job, good welds). I know Curt is the only company that manufactures its hitches in the USA, which is evident by the quality of their workmanship. This hitch works well. The instructions were clear and the mounting hardware was easy to use. The rest is a waste of time.
The item I bought came relatively fast, however, when I examined the box upon arrival, there were only one handle nut, and one bolt. ( This product has 4 bolts), and I was given.
It was a very good product. It fitted.
