A moderately handy pair of guys took 45 minutes to complete the task. I installed it last night, very easy to do. It took 2 guys who were moderately handy 45 minutes to complete. This can be found on their website under this part number or on YouTube). As a result of the better price and faster shipping on Amazon, I made the purchase rather than on Etrailer. It makes me feel bad if I use Etrailer's knowledge and then buy on Amazon, but my last Etrailer purchase took about 6 weeks to arrive! As a result, we did not need to drop the exhaust. We could remove the rear section of the heat shield easily (possibly a 340 muffler would make this possible), so there was no need to drop the exhaust. Consequently, the oxygen sensor and clips on the driver's side splash guard that come into contact with this cable do not need to be removed. When the splash guard is removed, it can dangle from the splash guard and stay attached the entire time. We noticed that the guy in the Etrailers video did not repeat that phrase when it comes to the heat shield Use this smaller section of the shield at the rear. That is also something we did not do. The only way to put it back in would be to cut it and mangle it. In the end, it appears to protect bumper area from excessive heat, however, because the new hitch is now between the muffler and bumper, it probably does the same or better work. The video shows him removing the connection to the sensors for the sensor comfort access auto truck opener after removing the bumper skin and disconnecting the rear backup sensors. We do not need to do this. OH, and also clicking the "kick to open" button still works. If you need to get between a tire and wheel well to screw something in, you'll need an angle/knuckle device for your drill driver. I hope that this all helps save folks 15 minutes or so. This trailer might be considered for a 6 by Trailer, however. I give this installation a five out of ten!.
I've used it on a 2014 BMW 335i xDrive sedan and it works great. A trip to Sears was necessary to purchase some extra tools and adapters during the installation process. If you're going to torque up to 90ft-lbs, you need a torque wrench that can handle that. Weighs 80 pounds. Additionally, you will need some deep sockets for your socket wrench, as well as some socket extenders to reach difficult spots. As a result, there are a number of upsides All in all, the installation process was extremely easy. It requires basic tools most of the time. It is strongly recommended that you obtain a torque wrench that will go up to 90 ft-lbs fake it, you won't notice the difference) and you'll also need some deep sockets for your socket wrench, as well as probably some socket extenders to get into tight spaces. In addition to the two downsides listed here were the following There's no way to reinstall the part of the heat shield you removed during the Tin snips can be used to cut into those portions of the heat shield, but because the hitch blocks them, it's not possible to get them back in. As the manufacturer stated, the extra part of the heat shield is not needed (and said the same thing about other car models also having In the instructions, it would have been helpful if the manufacturer explained this better. *The foot is the largest part of the foot It does not seem to work with operated trunk releases.
Could not get CURT to confirm that the hitch fit my 2006 BMW 328i xDrive? But it shows up on their video but not in their specs. As Haul had issues getting the hitch, they agreed to install it for free. The fit is perfect, the look is fantastic, and we are very satisfied. I plan to use it for my bike rack and a hitch extension It has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.
This bike rack is perfect for securing my bike. But it was a bit of a hassle to assemble. It was a pleasure to work on the project. According to Amazon, this wasn't going to fit my car, but the JC Whitney website The price on Amazon was much lower than it was at Walmart, so I took a chance on ordering it. It fit perfectly and was much cheaper.
It was a great As a used or open item, I got this as "used" I did not have to pay $40 for a new box when I purchased one from Amazon Warehouse. Aside from that, it didn't appear to be marked. This item looks as if it is My car is now fitted with the product (removed the rear bumper but did not have to remove the exhaust/heat shield) and is now walking well!.
I spent over $600 for the hitch that I needed to connect my BMW to the Hollywood rack. Therefore, I returned the bike rack that had an opening of 2 inches. My next rack cost me less than $150 and has a 1 1/4 opening and a Curt hitch. I was able to attach the hitch to the car easily, but I had trouble installing the car. Thanks to this, my assist bike is working great. The price was too good to pass up.
I think this is a good product. I appreciate the fast shipping considering the size, however, I found the packaging to be very poor, the oversized box was beaten up, no packing material was inside, and there were There are video instructions on You Tube for the installation process.
328iX F31 Wagon (2016) by BMW. When the bumper and cover are off, the F30/31 comes apart fairly easily, and the hitch installs with the existing hardware without any major problems. If the bumper cover is installed again, it will be very close to the Hitch (less than 1 mm). For the cover, I used zip ties to pull it back just a little to limit.
