On a 2014, it appears to work, but not sure whether it will work on a 2016. Until this week, I had not heard about any changes to the chassis, so I assumed it would still You might need to contact Curt to verify, although they might not respond since the vehicle just arrived.
There is no doubt that it can pull a couple jet skis without any problems. A Mazda 6 with a 2 inch hitch is what I installed. You can tow it with the 3.5 liter engine, but make sure you're being responsible.
Besides the shape of the main body that runs across the hitch, there is one other difference. A round tube can be seen on the 11356, and a square tube can be seen on the 11211. There are sellers showing a wrong image of the 11211 on their sites. the record, the 11356 I purchased here from Amazon for my 2016 Mazda 6 is the same as I bought it for my 2015 Mazda 2.

My review has taught me a few things. This installation kit is what I chose after researching all the options available for installing a hitch on my 2017 Mazda 6. Despite my lack of attention to the instructions, I was able to do the whole installation in about 90 minutes if I had been more careful in following them. I would like to do it by myself and with assistance for no more than 60 minutes. I learned two things in my learning process that I'd recommend you take into consideration- My experience has left me with no further knowledge. 1) On the bumper of the Mazda 6, there are two possible holes you can thread the bolt, wire and plate through. The one you should use is the correct Accordingly, the one that the bolt head will fit through is shown in the diagram as the oblong in shape. I spent 30 minutes or more trying to remove the plate from my oven after I made that mistake. Pull the bolts through the hitch while the guide wires are still attached then, leave the guide wires attached until the mounting bolt is attached. You should do these one at a time and on one side, then the other then By doing this, you can do one bolt per side rather than one bolt per side at.
I think this hitch is great. The device seems to be in perfect working order. It looks like a magic trick on YouTube, but the bolts in the channel work an unbelievable amount of power when the fish wires are inserted with the bolts. Upon installing the bolts, I discovered I had a problem. Hitch that has been bent. It's bad that the mounting plate is twisted and the powder coat peels at the corner. it to Amazon, and UPS picked it up free of charge the next day. They sent me a new one. Five days later, the package was delivered. It still bends in the same place, though not as badly as before, but it's still difficult As the plate is so heavy, it cannot be bent back without heat, despite the powder coat damage. Thus it goes back to where it came from. The hitch cannot be adequately protected from the carrier's manhandling due to the packaging. It is a nice heavy box that is not damaged much, but the ends of the box are inadequately cushioned to prevent the thing from bending when it is dropped and lands on its There's nothing I want more than a hitch like this! This time I ordered it again to see if I can get one that arrives undamaged, and I Be aware that there are one that comes with a ball mount, and one that does not for about the same price, and that the mount costs over $20.
She brings a few nuts. I received the package on time and in perfect condition. Nuts, bolts, fishing wire, and instructions are included. I could get it to fit the factory holes of my 2016 Mazda 6. Installing this took me about 20 minutes, despite the fact that I have no experience in mechanical work. In the near future, I plan on pulling my jet ski behind the boat with it. I will keep you updated!.
Integrated into my 2014 Mazda 6 in order to mount a bike carrier on the hitch. Even though I don't know how to use tools, I managed to install this hitch by myself in about 30 minutes without any help. There was no other tool I needed except a 3/4" socket, a 6" extension, and my ratchet wrench. There was nothing I could do other than scoot underneath the car. You can watch this video before you purchase if you are hesitant about doing the installation yourself. [Edit no video allowed on Amazon. You can easily search for "how to install a hitch for a There is a 23 minute video with a guy and his two kids explaining the idea while learning for themselves at the same time. This is the first result I find as I looked. I. [f. ] . a pretty good overview of the process. The hitch is not the same, but the method is the same. It would be helpful to include information on the use of the fish wire both for placement of spacers and bolts, not only for placing Put the bolts in place first and do not worry about removing the fishwire too soon. By running the bolt through the holes in the hitch, if the bolts were to fall back into the frame while you were lifting the hitch, you would just have to pull them Once you are ready to attach the nuts, simply remove the fish wire one at a time and finger tighten the nuts. After you have finished those three, do the others. As soon as all the fingers are finger tight, ratchet it down. When I am able to utilize the hitch more, I will update this. As of right now, it was an excellent price, fast shipping, and a quick and easy.
I could not be happier with my Mazda 6's fit with this. With a bike rack mounted, my bike is securely held. I was surprised at how heavy-duty it is for a Class-C tank There was only one Grabbing the bolts through the Mazda mounting channel is made easy by the wires that accompany the bolts. Finding the fishing wire inside the mounting channel in the Mazda was a challenge due to the small bolt holes in the If you bend a loop in the fishing wire provided, then insert another wire through the small bolt hole to the large access hole, connect it to the fishing wire, then pull the fishing wire back through the access hole to the bolt hole, you will have a much easier time. Safety wire from an aircraft worked perfectly for this, and it was easy to do. Fishing wires would be improved if they had a loop on the end and a soft metal wire to pull them forward. And you can put fishing wires through the hitch and only remove them when the bolts have been inserted into the hitch and each nut is installed. When you accidentally push the bolts back up into the channel with the hitch, you will find it very difficult to retrieve the bolts and stiffener plates once they are.
The tag said ages 14 to 18, but I was worried it might not fit my new 2018 Mazda 6 since it appeared to fit the years 14 to 18 Due to a lack of instructions, it took some effort to bolt it on, but it went smoothly once I got the hang of it. A Class 1 firearm comes with a very solid and sturdy build, despite the fact that it is a piece of equipment. Those of you with 2018 Mazda 6s should know that there are four holes on the passenger side 1 big hole, 2 small holes, and 1 rectangular hole. The cable should be routed through the big hole, and the studs should be threaded through the two middle There are four holes on the driver side three small ones, one rectangular one, and one big one. Go for the 2nd or 4th hole after the big hole, but avoid the big holes. It's my sincere hope that this will save you some time.
This fit perfectly over the holes on the frame of my 2017 Mazda 6 when I had it installed at the dealership! The installation is straight forward and requires no drilling whatsoever. My car has had it on it since I purchased it over a year ago, and it still looks pristine! Purchasing a hitch from a car dealer at a much higher price also proves less costly. I think it took me 15 minutes to install!.
