there is no need to worry when This is a good The product is made in the United States. It takes American STRENGTH to run the world. As a riser, I used mine as a 4". My SUV is a small one and it pulls a mini-truck We will use the Uhaul truck to haul all our things There was never a second of worry about this hitch OR my Curt hitch that I attached to my vehicle frame AND my 2" CURT ball OR the CURT 'fold down carrier'. The products from these companies are solid. Travelers have one less thing to worry about.
In spite of that, it was quite sturdy, and other than that it floated around in the receiver, it worked fine. I inserted a Reese hitch into that receiver (also forged with the same drop), and it worked just fine without On the Curt hitch, it must be smaller in size for the square bar to go into the receiver.
There's no doubt about it It feels like a neutron star's core. However, the draw bar would not fit in the receiver of my vehicle due to interference, but that is attributable to my vehicle, not the Despite its rated performance, I am confident that this unit is actually good.
Just what I was looking for. This is a perfect fit for my flat bed deckover. I need the rise system, and this is just what I need.
I used it anyway since it was scratched but I still You cannot go wrong with this trailer hitch. It is solid and well built. The only complaint I have is that it's made in China. I own no less than three Curt hitches, you can't go wrong! There are scratches on the product and the place of manufacture gives it a four-star rating.
What a great hitch this is. While I read there have been some complaints about the item moving and rattling, I haven't experienced any problems. A boat trailer can be lifted just right with this lift. There is a lot of weight to it, and it's VERY sturdy. This step hitch works great for my van that pulls an 18-foot boat, and I'm very happy with it overall.
Attaching my heavy dump trailer to this made a lot of sense. My trailer stays level when I drop it off of my 1 ton truck with the extra drop. This is a solid steel product that works quite well.
One was from a local store and one came from We also tested it in the brand new Xtra Duty hitch, which we were told would fit perfectly. We tried the same method in three different hitches with the same result. In both horizontally and vertically, the shank is about 1/8" too small. There is a terrible wobble, putting the pin under a lot of stress. Towing any kind of vehicle is extremely dangerous, and this simply cannot be done. There is also the appearance that the castings are made from very poor quality material, The ball mount has many pits in its surface, so it doesn't look even. My friend said the same exact thing about his ball mount and I just talked to him about it. He was advised to wrap the shank of the ball mount with electrical tape after calling Curt about it. Those were the only words of advice he received. Not at all absurd, is it? During those days, the tape would certainly be cut and destroyed in no time.
Now, his ball mount is 5 years old, so does Curt sell faulty mounts for that long? There are many online reviews stating the same thing. Do you know what Curt is going to do? There is a ball mount made by another company that I would like to try. Hopefully, I will be able to add hitches and other accessories to it if it works.
