Nothing would be affected by this, so it should function as expected. Reverse lights are connected to the fifth prong.
My 2017 Silverado LT 4X4 has the issue (it works on my truck)
It will light up for brakes and turn signals even without anything plugged in. My LEDs are red, but they do light up for brakes and turn signals.
The trailer brake should be connected to the original connector, if possible. Furthermore, the wiring harness you are using has a wire for the trailer brake. Has a check light been attached to the original socket to see if your truck is wired for this.

One cover is included in the book. You do not need two covers if you use the trailer plug on a regular basis, but you would need two covers if you removed the trailer plug and kept it in the receiver all the time. You'll soon find out it doesn't matter if there are two covers or not, because someone in the Walmart parking lot is still going to be able to see it and not be bothered by it. It should be kept in the console of the vehicle when not in use and somewhere out of the elements and thieves' reach. This is pretty much the kind of thing I just leave on my trailer so I can plug in the 7 blade part to the truck whenever I need it. Basically, it's good and everything is nice, just wish it had a 4th test light for pin 5.
By doing this, not only is a 7 pin receptor turned into a 4-pin Adapter is flat like other adapters, but offers 4 connections (one 4-pin There is one way and one 5-way I said that). As a result, you do not have to have a Y-axis In the event of needing two outlets, you should use a splitter. Having a cleaner connection without a lot of loose wire at the plug simplifies the process of connecting. My 4-footer goes through my 4-footer I plugged the outlets into either one of them and the lights worked in both. I didn't need the LEDs on this adapter because my lights worked when it was plugged in, but the adapter had LEDs for use as a circuit tester.
I don't see a problem with it, but the cover shown in the photo only covers the top row of plugs, leaving the bottom four exposed. Several factors are misleading in this photograph! It's time for you to show your real worth, Reese! Thanks for reading! I hope you found it I extend my respects to you and welcome you to Athens, Alabama. JGW.
I tested it out right away and it worked like a charm. When I use the Chevy Silverado 1500 to pull my boat trailer, I pull it with the dual axial linkage. When I used a cheaper model before, it only lasted for two seasons, even though I stored it in the center console when it wasn't My truck and trailer wiring were correct when I first started having trailer lighting problems. I found this adapter to be the solution When not in use, my recommendation is to remove the adapter to protect it from the elements and grime on the road. That will make it last much.
I like how it works. So far, I have used the software a few times and do not foresee any problems with it. So it doesn't corrode in the elements, I store it in the console. Everything fits perfectly and there are no problems connecting.
If you were expecting a plug-in, then you'd be wrong An item that you can pick up and play. The truth is that it It is nice to be able to hook up the trailer in the dark with the light. Despite being left on the back of my truck through all kinds of weather, it has never corroded or caused issues, no corrosion, and no issues.
Although the light and turn signal functionality did not change, the actual function of the equipment did. The trailer lights worked half as bright when the truck lights were turned off, but did not work at all when the truck lights were turned on. In addition to the front left and right turn signals, the outside right and left side lights also blinked. There is nothing right about it. I was able to use another adapter and everything worked fine.
I reiterate what I said in my As you see in the picture, what you get isn't what you saw. Despite the fact that the LEDs are red (no big deal) and the connector cover is only one, you can't just plug it into the truck and leave it there without fear of corrosion (although in Wisconsin, where salt is used on our roads). The item will perform the task I expect it to. In order to do this, I can just plug in a 4 or 5 wire trailer cable when I am renting a trailer. I will have our own trailer once I buy it and it will have the native 7-inch On the trailer cable, there is a 4-way connector.
