Why do I need all these wires if I only need some of them? It's not necessary to have a brake controller or 12 volt power adapter. Would it be sufficient if I capped ?

The wires do not have to be connected, just make sure to put electrical tape on the ends to ensure that they do not contact an object.

I plan to use this to power my Tongue Jack via a 7 pin connector. Would this work?

If you have a good supply of 12 volts from the towing vehicle, it should work

Replace with a perfect replacement

Sadly, we had to order a new cable after ours was destroyed on a recent Keystone Cougar travel trailer trip. I was surprised by the timely delivery and perfect condition of the package. Despite the wire colors being completely different, they nicely matched the existing ones on the trailer and they are all working. When you know how to use a screwdriver and pliers (for crimping the wire nuts], can cut and strip wires, and can match colors, you can save a lot of money doing this yourself.

Due to the fact that I already had a junction box on my trailer, I chose this one. Due to the fact that the trailer is pulled by multiple trucks with different plug locations, the cable is flexible and can be easily twisted to avoid it rubbing on the ground. There are some plugs that are close, and some that are far away. It's exactly what I wanted and needed, and I have been using it since last week without incident. It was fantastic to deal with this seller, and I will be back for more when I need it!.

Because it has the distinct feeling of being a Chinese knock off, I knocked off one star. Therefore, I would not consider the quality to be of the highest order. As such, it had wires of adequate size and was color coded for ease of There are MANY aftermarket trailer wiring assemblies that are miswired, so keep an eye.

I don't think 8' is enough

I cannot find a product that was 8' long. Everything worked fine except that it was a little shorter than it should have been. When measured it measured not 7'2".

This is a better plug than factory plugs

Plug/wiring harness in this kit perfectly fits and is more durable than the factory wiring harness. It was very helpful to have the wiring diagram. If you have a trailer, I strongly recommend it.
